@ESL_fairy I stopped by the vet today. While there, a cat crawled into my lap. He got so involved in the neck scratches that he lost his balance and fell off. Then he wandered away, clinging to what little dignity he had left. Twitter/X has wretched stuff, but it also has cat stories

@keetmuise My mother has started inviting me to keep my shoes on in the house, which confuses me. As a kid, she was the one who taught me to take my shoes off in the house. The world is being turned on its head.

Every so often a page on the internet asks me to click on pictures to prove that I’m not a robot. I always get nervous that I will fail the test and discover that I was a robot and nobody told me

I got a chance to film conversations about their faith with two Sikhs and a Muslim yesterday, and I was struck by the common elements. We are all human and we care about our kids, build relationships with other people and look for meaning in our lives.

This is the first time in many years that I did not organize Remembrance Day ceremonies at a school, but I did get a chance to lead a moment at a church craft sale for a good number of people. Leaving my work in schools doesn’t stop me, it changes my audience

Yesterday I had the chance to facilitate a conversation with 27 people from 20 different faith groups about how they were feeling about the impact of the conflict in Israel/Gaza. We can stand side by side, recognizing our common humanity.

My daughter has now been in our lives for 200 days. There’s been a lot to reflect on in that time, but one of the biggest reflections that haunts me daily is that in 200 days, Joey has never smiled for me the way she smiles for Ms. Rachel.
