Weller explains how to rigorously measure color patterns in fishes. Color has chromatic and spatial parameters. Chromatic information varies with lighting, preservation, and angle. Spatial info is more robust. Geomorphology techniques work just fine on these data. #ICVM2023

Our research on #billfish collective hunting has us using @DJIGlobal drones and models to automatically track the marlin and baitballs. This is very successful: here, I am identified as a baitball with 91% confidence, and @JanHaege is most definitely a Marlin!
