@Panchaap_ some rajasthani languages use s- type future tenses like lahnda and sindhi Example: म्हूं कालै उणनै मिळवा सारू जावस्यूं. mʰũː kɑːlɛ ʊɳᵊnɛ mɪɭᵊwɑː sɑːruː dʒɑːwᵊsjũ (I'll go to meet him tomorrow), so i dont think this is strong evidence

Absolutely true, Pahari-Pothohari, Poonchi, Hindko and Lehnda of Gujrat all use "Karsāñ, Karsi, Karso, Karesāñ, Karesaiñ" in Future tense, while Gojri present in same region uses "Karāngā" which highly points towards their later migration from Plains of Rajasthan->Haryana->Punjab
Gautam@Gs_shekhawatt

Singular Masculine "-o" Ending Hell Mark of Rajasthani Mero naam talluq rakhno logo Maharo Tam or Tame for "you" Mewati, Dhundhari, Rajasthani Hindko/Pahari use tusaan future tense “-ga” Rajasthani video upload karanga Punjab/Pahari use karsan 2/2 🧵

@JanJhanoJan my guess would be no, there was probably a quasidiglossia with urdu used for writing/official stuff and mainly punjabi (but urdu too esp men of educated classes) at home.

People may copenseethe all they want but Hindustani in various forms is a "native" (and in many cases longstanding) tongue of Dehli, Mumbai, Lahore, Karachi, Aurangabad, Hyderabad, Lakhnau, Bangalore, Chennai, Surat, Ahmadabad, Allahabad, Patna, Kolkata and Dhaka.

@WHGCHGANFANE The only reason people say this is because the statues lack color and body hair, if you imagine them as hairy with dark hair and olive skin they fit right with modern greeks.

@pianopidaras6 @JanJhanoJan @GoldenSaka @Ossetianvirtue southern pashto was the original Pashto and all speakers of other dialects used to speak smth else (namely Indo-Aryan). i actually made a map that shows this too lmao: x.com/aestaestaest_/…
aest_@aestaestaest_

@maazxxz @wagarrwal @indrakozay Areas immediately northeast were East Iranic Parachi-Ormuri, but everything north of the Tirah (including Tirah) was Dardic, while the lowlands south/east of Tirah were Prakit. Here, I made a quick map for you:

Pashtoons have done so much for Kashmir. Christopher Snedden in his book Kashmiris fight for freedom mentions " Pashtoons readily took part in Liberation of AJK because of Sudhans( a Tribe of AJK of Pashtoon origin)
Pacino@Pacino72298840

@ajk_pahari @KisanaNauman fYI even a person like Ajmal Khattak who was labelled as separatist, communist, infidel, indian agent etc said about Kashmir " Kashmir da zulm na azad sha, da zama zra hum azad she" meaning may Kashmir be freed from opression, may my heart also be freed...

@pianopidaras6 @aestaestaest_ @GoldenSaka @Ossetianvirtue yes while northern kpk dialects do have more indic substrate influence(due to it being the most recently settled). The majority of indic influence(from late medival lahnda) which we can see in words like Sa(breath), patkay(turban) affects all dialects even afghan pashto.

@pianopidaras6 @aestaestaest_ @GoldenSaka @Ossetianvirtue idk if this is a fair comparison, pakistani pashto isnt even 1 thing, its multiple disparate dialects. Overall tho khotanese saka is more indicized than any modern east iranic language(they even distinguished aspirated consonants which is utterly foreign to iranic languages0,

@JanJhanoJan @pianopidaras6 @GoldenSaka @Ossetianvirtue <1> i disagree here. Firstly, chart @pianopidaras6 showed of a Wakhi dude's genetics was from a Gilgit-Baltistan Wakhi (who lived in Gilgit most of their life) and has a Burusho grandparent. I'd argue this is the case for most GB/Hunza Wakhis, they aren't genetically identical..

@pianopidaras6 @aestaestaest_ @GoldenSaka @Ossetianvirtue Sistan was named after the indo sakas who happened to control the area, they never actually lived there. As for wakhis, imo they score higher SAHG due to indian influence(later saka kingdoms were very indianized) and as for haplos we lack enough data to make concrete statments.

@JanJhanoJan @aestaestaest_ @GoldenSaka @Ossetianvirtue what about sistan I think their claim is more migration and yea kyrgyz def have more claim over it but not wakhis since as far as I know they don’t have any genetic relation haplo wise autosomal they score higher south asian aswell

@pianopidaras6 @aestaestaest_ @GoldenSaka @Ossetianvirtue sakzai comes from ishaqzai, compare yusufzai -> esapzai. Saka never lived in the pashtun urheimat. IMO linguistic heritage, material culture and geographic area are way stronger evidence points to "kang" with rather than haplos(which is why kazakhs and wakhis have the best claim)

@aestaestaest_ @GoldenSaka @Ossetianvirtue about the name claim pashtuns literally have tribes called sagzai and sakazai do u really think that has a meaning? we can’t kang as their descendants imo because we don’t carry their haplogroups we carry mostly yaz and that was the intial focus of my question

ive noticed infanticide is only really associated with sindhis, baloch, rajasthanis and most famously pre-islamic arabs(despite the fact its not limited to just those areas). The only common factor is the hyper arid /desert environment.
Gujjar Ancestry@GujjarAncestry

This French news documentary covers female infanticide in India, with a particular focus on Rajasthan, especially within sections of the Rajput community there, it is prevelant is most communities there. youtube.com/watch?v=sT0fnV…
