@comicscurated @lewnerys Firstly they didn't rule the entire north all this time. Secondly there is no record dating this far back. Thirdly Martins characters and maesters are questioning their own history in universe. If people in this thread had read his books, then comments like yours wouldn't exist

@lewnerys Also the idea that a territory as big as the north would a) be ruled by the same family for 8 THOUSAND years and b) that there's a record dating that far back when noblemen in the current period are barely literate as is is kinda funny

I can't take grrm's historic timelines seriously. starks ruled the north for 8k years but 150 years without dragons is considered forever? okay

How did Aemond and Daemon die in the books? Daemon waited 13 days at Harrenhal, challenging Aemond to stop burning the Riverlands and face him. On the 14th day, Aemond arrived on Vhagar with his pregnant lover, Alys Rivers. He kissed her goodbye and mounted his dragon. The sun was setting as they took to the sky. Caraxes slammed into Vhagar, jaws locked on her neck. Both dragons ripped each other apart as they fell, dragonfire so bright the sky looked aflame. Vhagar's teeth tore through Caraxes's wing, while her claws opened Caraxes's belly. They were dying together, plummeting toward the God's Eye. Then, Daemon did the impossible. @fvckalel There were four dragons in the dragon pit, only 2 were of notable size, one of whom died after being swarmed from all sides and entangled in his chains, the other died by flying into the roof of the dragon pit, which collapsed, because dragonheads can't smash stones in the books.
