We trained a decoder to read the internal activations of an LLM and answer questions about what the model will think about or do next. We find that this decoder can understand LLM behaviors, even when the model itself is confused! (for instance, if the model has been jailbroken)

for unknown reasons i now find myself listening to the soundtrack of everything everywhere all at once and it’s ruining me

i felt like cambridge was beautiful today -- the weather, the live music in central, the sunlight filtered through the trees, the people i met with, everything

today i biked to allston w/ a friend and i) realized how terrible the bike lanes are outside of cambridge, and ii) was vv glad that i decided to start wearing a helmet today

the improv book I read gave examples of how the exercises can play out both absurdly and well…in practice so far it has only been absurd :p

i cut my hair recently (the shortest it has ever been except at birth I guess) and idk if I can ever go back - less hair product, lighter head, less hair in my face, cooler for the summer, and I love the look :))
