Doug Ford's communications staff have figured out the Canadian news media will not call out his deceitful representation of aviation assets allocated to fighting Northern Ontario wildfires. Shame on anyone who publishes these numbers uncritically and spreads their disinformation.
Doug Ford@fordnation

I met with air crew and personnel at Thunder Bay Airport this morning to thank them for their work supporting the wildfire response in northern Ontario. Right now, crews in more than 80 waterbombers and helicopters are hard at work fighting the fires, with another 40 aircraft on standby to assist.

I noticed a weather forecast this morning saying Toronto may receive timbit sized hail. I guess that is one way to get Doug Ford's attention.

I met with Stan Cho and I was in Grade 9 I talked to him about the importance of funding transit. He blamed the previous Liberal government and told me "when I grew up I'll understand" I remember those words vividly. I guess I grew up and now understand that he's a grifter

This morning, I met with Premier Ford at the legislature and gave him this letter resigning as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming.

"close to 80 firefighting aircraft" are not battling the wildfires in Northern Ontario, and nobody in the Canadian press has yet called out the Ontario government's deception. MNR officials are also refusing to identify how many of the MNR fleet of 28 are incapable of operations.
Jill Dunlop@JillDunlop1

Ontario Corps and its network of dedicated volunteers and partners are ready to support municipalities impacted by the northern wildfires. Through Ontario's coordinated emergency response network, volunteers can provide critical assistance during emergencies and recovery efforts. As communities face ongoing challenges from wildland fires, Ontario Corps is ready to help where support is needed most.

**THIS MAN WILL BE PM ONE DAY!** 🇨🇦 Wab Kinew just fired back at those American Congress ambulance chasers hunting for cheap Instagram clicks instead of doing their actual jobs. While real heroes — including American firefighters — battle our wildfires and save lives, these politicians politicize tragedy for likes. No place for that during a state of emergency. Canada stands strong, handles our forests, and helps our neighbours. Proud of leaders who put people first. #StandWithCanada #WabKinew #TrueNorthStrong

For over four months, across two budgets (FY2025/FY2026) the Premier of the province of Ontario kept a black budget of over $30M hidden from taxpayers, and without any business justification, bought a $30M bizjet to ferry himself around internationally, while he already had access to at least 3 planes for national and international travel. No other provincial government from any other province has done that. I'm not keeping track of what he spends on charters, I'm pointing out the plane we forced him to sell at a loss of $200k has now miraculously returned to his circle of influence, like it never left. Officials said in April the plane would be ready by July to ferry Doug Ford around, and look at that, it's late June and the plane has returned to Pearson. It's almost like the whole story, the lack of preparation, buying the plane out of the blue, was just to funnel it to Chartright all along. The plane could have been sold to anyone in the world. Canadian companies had as much of a chance to buy it as anyone else. It's not super weird a Canadian company bought it. The plane could have been stationed at any airport in the world, but Pearson is where it's going to live. It had to go somewhere. The company who bought it just happens to provide charter services to the government of Ontario, wow, what a coincidence. The coincidences themselves aren't suspicious, unless you look at them all together, then it's quite miraculous that for all the planes in the world that were for sale, and all the companies in the world who have the budget to buy those planes, that it just happened to be bought and stationed at Pearson, where Doug Ford can use it. Wow, what a lucky guy. It's almost like that was the plan all along.

Always hiding things. Cell phone records, mandate letters, FOI records... ... and now the jet that Doug Ford "returned" at a $200K (or more?) cost to taxpayers that miraculously ended up at his preferred charter company will have its operations hidden. Suspect, much? #onpoli
Steffan Watkins @steffanwatkins

Chartright is a Canadian company, and has asked the American Federal Aviation Administration to hide the operations of C-FBBW #C002D5 from the public, through the LADD program. That's the plane Ontario taxpayers covered the $200k in fees to import before Chartright bought it.

"Don't tell me what you value. Show me your budget, and I'll tell you what you value." This year, Ontario budgeted $150 million for wildfire management after spending roughly $271 million last year, knowing full well that fire seasons are getting longer and more intense. Meanwhile, @fordnation found: $200M for an Ontario Place parking garage $112M for a record-breaking partisan ad spend $8M for the Premier's office payroll last year $231M for cancelling green energy contracts $1.9B for an earlier corner store alcohol rollout $28.9M for a private jet purchase (cancelled only after he got caught) $121,409 for Toronto PC MPPs to stay in Toronto hotels $140,000+ for private charter flights There are more examples....many, many more. There is definitely a pattern here. Budgets reveal priorities. Ontario's 2026 wildfire management budget is going to cost Ontario SO much more down the road. #ONPoli #OntarioFires #NorthwesternOntario #EmergencyManagement #ThunderBay #Wildfire #OntarioCorps #Solidarity
Doug Ford@fordnation

Our government won’t put a price on safety and I mean it when I say we will spare no expense to protect communities from wildfires. To the firefighters and emergency personnel on the ground, and to everyone who has been impacted by these fires, my message is simple: we will have your backs, no matter what.

Limits definitely are needed. Why can’t our “fiscally prudent”@OntarioPCParty, as @fordnation likes to say, use their party money instead? This is wasteful spending, especially when our public services are disappearing. 😡
Kate Dupuis@DrKateTO

Last year, this @fordnation MPP spent more than $32,000 of our money on this "free" BBQ. $32,000. While I'm all for community connection and fun, in the words of Stan Cho, that's a big party with taxpayers' money! Surely there should be a limit on spending? #onpoli

Speaking to the AFN, Kiashke Zaaging Anishinaabek (Gull Bay First Nation) Chief Wilfred King says Ontario staff "had no idea where Gull Bay First Nation is" during evacuation. King says Ontario wouldn't advise him on whether to evacuate. facebook.com/share/p/1PHC1Y…
