@RacingPost Depends how lame the horse was, Iam sure if the horse was limping , he would have lead it back, but just for a graze, not sure if it is necessary, we don’t know the full situation but 3 weeks does seem hard but we don’t know if he was told by the vets to lead him back or not.

Then he went on and had a setback. "Cheltenham the last day where he fractured his pelvis was one of my worst days in racing. But he's given me some magnificent days and I'll always remember him for those. "I'd like to send my best to his owners, Joe and Marie, and their entire family. They're great supporters of us all and I'm absolutely devastated for them. Losing him is truly gutting. "You cannot forget his Grade 1 wins over hurdles, but the wow feeling I got from him that day over fences at Kempton was out of the ordinary. Not many horses have given me that feeling over fences."

@harryskelton89 Horrid accident. I am still sure that our hurdles are not safe. Why not have fixed upright brush hurdles. Horses will respect them and know how to jump them. Something unnatural about them. Sad for everyone, he looked as though he had a fabulous future ahead of him.

@mjyharris What a load of hyperbole nonsense, Poor Precious Man lost his life yesterday, and nobody's that interested in talking about it. All these "racing fans" on here are so worried about Conny just because he's high profile. It's so disingenuous it's nauseating.

The euphoria that would envelop Cheltenham racecourse if Constitution Hill were to walk in after having won the Champion Hurdle would be as magical and as emotionally powerful for the sport as pretty much anything that has gone before. However, if the unthinkable were to happen and he was to run, have another fall, and lose his life, it would have the most destructive impact on the sport, and I’m not sure NH racing would ever recover from it. It’s a crucial decision and one that must solely be made on what would be in the best interests of the horse and absolutely nothing else.

@mjyharris I am not much into flat racing but I have decided that I could not bear to watch CH now in a champion hurdle, so let him go flat racing and I can follow him there🤞

The lead prosecution expert at Lucy Letby's trial, Dr Dewi Evans, misdiagnosed an eight-year-old boy's brain tumour as bulimia. He could have died, if not for a second doctor catching the mistake in time. This was in 2008. An investigation ensued. Dr Evans retired in 2009.

@RacingTV @WorldPool Nick Luck show,eventually the question was asked,the crux of the matter must be prize money , why not have a minimum wage? If I have a horse, especially a jumper, why would I expect virtually nothing to run it? Better prize money, more horses ,more punters and racegoers.
