As part of the media reporting of NICE’s decision not to approve lecanemab/donanemab for the NHS, I was asked why I didn’t consider giving patients “another 4 to 6 months” to be a worthwhile benefit. There wasn’t time on BBC Breakfast to explain the problematic nature of this.

@flavin_theresa @alzheimersocirl No Theresa. Alzheimer's Society UK ran that ad. The landscape is complex! In UK there's Alz Soc, Alz Scotland and Alz Soc Ireland. Then there is Dementia UK, Dementia Research UK and Alz Research UK. There are probably more! Alz Scotland ran a more positive ad recently.
