@otjsportss @MelissaLantsman Trade Realignment: While boosting trade with EU, CDN would face the complex, costly, and disruptive task of reorienting supply chains currently, and heavily, integrated with the United States. CDN would likely need to set up a new customs border with the US and adopt EU tariffs.

Similar applications from non-European countries, such as Morocco in 1987, were rejected on these grounds.  •Open CDN

It does not define what European is. It says nothing about being on the continent of Europe. Cyprus is part of the EU and they are on the continent of Asia, but are culturally and politically European. Malta is part of the EU and they are on the continent of Africa, but are culturally and politically European. Turkey is a candidate country half in Asia. And they have nothing in common with Europe culturally or politically, we are more qualified than they are. We are culturally and politically European and there is precedent for countries like ours being in the EU despite not being in Europe. We can join the EU without any change to any laws. We just need to go through the usual approval process. We have tons of resources Europe can exploit, even the biggest skeptic of the EU members who need to approve us can be convinced.

EDMONTON UYGHUR SPOKESWOMAN SPEAKS OUT RE MA AND CARNEY Uyghur Canadiens in Edmonton are angry about Liberal MP Michael Ma’s comments doubting forced labour exists under the communist regime in China. And they don’t believe PM Mark Carney is taking the issue seriously considering Canada’s House of Commons in 2021 declared that the People's Republic of China is carrying out a genocide against Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims. Alberta Uyghur Association spokesperson Mehliya Cetinkaya met me at our local office to also say the PM needs to toughen laws so Canadians can be confident they’re not buying products that might be produced in any way from forced labour. @alberta_uyghur @UyghurCongress

@JanetKrets @MelissaLantsman I think it is an extremely weak argument to tie anti Israel to pro Hamas. You can be anti Israel and Hamas at the same time specially since Israel makes Hamas look like the good guys and yes 100% I would prefer living under Chinese rule over Israeli rule
