Karoline Leavitt just carried out the most vile PR stunt of any White House press secretary in history. Imagine filming yourself praying to Jesus before going out to lie to the American people. 😳👇

So as the #stockmarketcrash we learn that one of the architects of #TrumpTariffs Peter Navarro made up an expert “Ron Vara” using an anagram of his surname to make the economic case for them Fictional experts rarely get it wrong…

"One of the highest tariff rates, 50 percent, was imposed on the African nation of Lesotho, whose average citizen earns less than $5 a day. Because Lesotho’s citizens are too poor to afford most U.S. exports, while the U.S. imports $237 million in diamonds and other goods from the small landlocked nation, we have reserved close to our highest-possible tariff rate for one of the world’s poorest countries. The notion that taxing Lesotho gemstones is necessary for the U.S. to add steel jobs in Ohio is so absurd that I briefly lost consciousness in the middle of writing this sentence." theatlantic.com/politics/archi…

Lovely that we’ve all managed to feel “ relieved “ about a UK 10% tariff from America : our closest ally , trusted partner, security sharer , and recipient of a major and unprecedented state visit. Yup. That’s friendship…

🚨 Drug shortages hit a four-year high thanks to Brexit! Drug companies reported supply issues 1,938 times in 2023—the worst since 2021. Patients & the NHS are paying the price for this crisis. How much more damage before the govt admits Brexit is failing and costing lives? Epilepsy and cystic fibrosis meds are among those that pharmacists are finding it hard or impossible to get hold of, creating risks for patients’ health. theguardian.com/society/2025/m…

Traitor? Elon, if you don’t understand that defending freedom is a basic tenet of what makes America great and keeps us safe, maybe you should leave it to those of us who do.

@RachelReevesMP Not everyone who sends their children to private schools are wealthy and many make sacrifices in order to do this. Taking away choice and forcing extra children into the state system will be counterproductive. I believe you know deep down that this is a tax driven mainly by spite

For too long children have been held back, not because of a lack of talent, but a lack of opportunity. I’m determined to change that. That starts with ending the tax break enjoyed by private schools so we can put more money into our state schools. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

Should the King be made to pay inheritance tax? Currently, Charles and Prince William are exempt from the tax unless they voluntarily choose to contribute. But with farmers having to pay for passing on their estates should the wealthy monarch do the same?
