@hilltopgina Plants don't have brain, CNS or eyes because they are not animals. Plants have very different biology. However they can see the light, have sex, reproduce, and live their lives, as plants. Evidence shows they do have relationships and communicate. Respect all life. love nature.

@JanetMeeham As a lover & grower of plants & someone who has planted 1000s of trees I do believe that plants feel but they do not have central nervous systems or a brain, eyes & nor do they play & form relationships (only symbiotic) . I would rather cause least harm to others by eating plants

@MeggGawat That's simply not true. Killing animals for food isn't harming them. In fact it can be offering them life. It can involve treating them well. Animal husbandry keeps many millions of animals alive, even though its for a food source. Global veganism is anti animal. Embrace nature.

@AnimalandLandXO You don't know this? So beef is specifically the edible meat part of a cow. not the cow itself, same for veal or pork. A cow has horns, hooves, skin, etc. We don't call these beef. In fact for some of these other parts we use the animal name (cowhide, pigs trotters, pigskin, )

@JanetMeeham Why do you call it beef when it’s Cow or veal when it’s a calf? Names are given to identify what flavor Vegan food will be. Many Vegans liked the flavor of Fish but do not want Fish to be murdered. And, Animals/Fish/Birds are not ‘things’

@hilltopgina No. You choose not to believe plants are sentient. And choose instead to see them only as food because they are so differnt to humans. It's a very unempathic response. Many people also believe spiders or snails or aren't sentient for the same reasons. Many of us disagree.

@InfiniteRadar She would have been much better off, and animal welfare would be better off, if she bought meat from non factory farmed sources. That's how you really make a change. Not by turning your back on them and imagine because you no longer eat meat, everything is better somehow.
