@iky_fwjett I would feel she needs to come to her twin’s funeral. My husband of 42 years died last year and Im sorry for your loss but I couldn’t imagine doing that to her twin

My good friends sister is an animal behaviorist. She said don’t try to hold or pick them
Up. It’s good the kitten is out and not hiding, for example under the bed - she teaches to go lift the bed over and bend down facing the kitten or cat and say hi and count to 3 seconds - then walk away - it’s all they can handle. . . To do this a few times a day. After about a week of this, go in lift the bedcover , face to face say hi once again for 3 seconds and leave a little treat then walk away. You can then say hi and leave the treat a foot or so away and walk out. They can get fairly overwhelmed when feral - mine I adopted still doesn’t want to be picked up or held and will not sit in anyone’s lap, after two years - but she has recently started to come over and put her two front paws on my chest for a very short period of time - and she will
Come over and place her paw on my mouth or on me and sometimes lick me or go mouth the mouth quickly like she’s giving me a kiss. So I allow her her own time. If your kitten can be around an older cat who is very domesticated, that older cat will also start to teach the kitten. For example Ive been keeping an older cat and when he comes and lays on my chest and purrs
And sleeps, the feral one
Comes and watches with great curiosity - and that is when the laying one paw on me started - as if saying I want to be part of this too! In this picture the older cat is sleeping on my chest which you can’t see - and she just came and held
My leg to be part to the degree she can do at this time.

I trapped my first feral catand got it fixed on Wednesday! 🎉 The clinic thinks he's about 4 months old and advised me to release him the day after surgery..
I haven't released him yet because I feel incredibly guilty about bringing him back outside. I keep thinking I can socialize him since he's still young and lets me pet him. He's completely sent by me and hides in the corner of any bathroom we put him in. I know it's probably best to release him, but I feel terrible knowing he won't have the security, warmth, and love a house cat should have.
Looking for reassurance!
Any advice would be appreciated!

A friend of mine sent this to me - wow, I love it!!
We get to live on a planet where trees whisper warnings to one another through mycelial networks. Where octopuses dream, and whales sing, calling each other by name.
Where elephants mourn their lost, standing in silent vigil over the bones of their kin. Where bees dance on the way to the flowers, and crows remember faces, never forgetting a slight (be good to your crows!).
Where ants build vast metropolises, cats purr at the exact frequency of healing, and the forest’s first breath after a fire is a bloom of flowers.
Beauty and wonder are everywhere. Life is more then we can imagine and dream. Walk softly upon this earth, offering all compassion and love.

Explain to him you are a family and keeping the house clean is a joint effort and responsibility- if he keeps the being snarky, remove any phone or device he has until he can be responsible. And don’t give allowance that isn’t earned by doing chores around the house. This will teach a good work ethic.

@CatLover56577 I would be very very gentle and don’t try to pick him up. Allow him time to heal and let him know he is safe with you ❤️
