For years, when I have taught about the historically artificial division between physical and mental health, I have used as an example the well-documented association between heart attacks and depression.
I have a new perspective on it now. And it’s hard.

Going through a pretty unpleasant ordeal atm about which I’m being necessarily cryptic, but getting pep talks tonight from my mum, my auntie, and my uncle reminded me that so long as my big Cypriot family have my back, I’m cared for by the generation that came before me, I’m OK.

Well, it’s over. We signed a mutual cancellation. They sent a document full of lies, saying they had disclosed things they hadn’t (we have the disclosures!) and that things are fine that aren’t (we have the inspection report!). We gave them our final offer and they rejected it.

It appears that our realtor may be refusing to convey to the seller’s agent our withdrawal from the agreement. The deadline is in 1 hour and 6 minutes. I am at a wedding.

Well, they gave us—at 3 p.m. today—only a partial, mangled answer to our post-inspection requests. Tomorrow is the deadline for us to exit the contract due to “unsatisfactory conditions,” and the sellers are unavailable until Sunday, so…we have to walk away. 💔

I left FB many years ago because I couldn’t restrict my feed to people I followed and I couldn’t make it chronological.
I’m still not interested in something that doesn’t let me follow or interact in real time.
Maybe it’s just not going to exist any more. That would be a loss.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about privacy vs community, and I’ve decided isolation isn’t the right choice for me.
On June 4, I had a heart attack followed by a full cardiac arrest.
I had extraordinary care as well as good luck, and am healing well at home.
