People with anxiety often REWATCH the same TV shows because the predictability helps us REGULATE our nervous system. When we already know the outcome, there’s no risk of unexpected stressors. This reduces cognitive load and provides a sense of control, and safety. Familiar stories can be a calming in a world that is a LOT. What’s your GO-TO show? XO, Dr. Jen
