@JankovicJack @Alistair_McF It's the same with Netflix. Even if you don't use it, if you don't cancel your subscription, they'll automatically charge you. And when you do cancel, it lasts until the expiration date, and that's it—they don't refund the remaining money.

Some Rust server orgs are charging players to be unbanned, or selling "ban insurance." Some orgs are clearly taking advantage of users, knowing players will pay, to play on their servers. It's a bullshit practice that encourages the wrong kind of culture. All we ask, is for everyone not to be a dick, this is exactly that. If you're a server owner and continue doing this, we'll be blacklisting servers that engage in it.

@TheVisuales @Alistair_McF But the point is they are now trying to charge me $50usd to be unbanned from their server because i did this.

@TheVisuales @Alistair_McF Yes mate im aware how subscriptions work but at the time they had no cancel button on the website i had to open a ticket and then come back again later to make sure they cancel it, so i just disputed it on paypal to get it cancelled.

@Alistair_McF Same thing happened to me. Charged ~$12/mo for 4–5 months on a Rustafied service I never used while recovering from surgery. Disputed it via PayPal, got banned from every server. They wanted $50 usd to unban me. I lost it at the admin, apologised since still perma’d.
