MOFA will launch the 20th Japan International MANGA Award and accept entries by non-Japanese manga creators from 15 April to 30 June 2026. MOFA established the Japan International MANGA Award in 2007 with the aim of promoting manga culture and international cultural exchanges through manga by awarding overseas artists for their excellent manga works. PM TAKAICHI held an online meeting which was attended by leaders of the Asian region including partners of the Asia Zero-Emission Community (AZEC). She announced the launch of Partnership on Wide Energy and Resources Resilience Asia (POWERR Asia), a new cooperation framework consisting of both emergency responses and structural ones with mid-to-long-term perspectives.
