Not to get ahead of things here, but just realized there's a possibility of having #GoHabsGo home playoff games during Grand Prix weekend if they advance.
It would likely require every 2nd round series to be over by this weekend.

Maybe a hot take but I don't think the Panthers will be back the way people think.
That roster is getting old. And they've still played a lot of extra hockey in the past few years.
I could see them coming back as a playoff team, but I'd be surprised if they steamroll everyone.

When the #GoHabsGo dominated Game 2 I figured it was just a desperate response from a good team.
The fact that they dominated AGAIN is very telling. Seems like the #SabreHood don't have many answers.
A goaltending change could help, but you probably need more.

Because that 1G from Suzuki came in a Game 7 and they won the series.
The #LeafsForever got so much criticism because they failed.
Kucherov has 0 career points in Game 7s and nobody knew until a week ago. The result determines the perception.

It's purely for hype and ratings.
Makes no sense for teams with 78 and 86 points to pick 1st and 2nd and a have a 52-point team pick 3rd.
Imo the lottery should only include 3-5 teams with a maximum move up of 2-3 spots.

Literally such a stupid system. Teams like Calgary Vancouver Chicago Seattle all suck asshole for years and the Leafs are bad for 1 year and get McKenna. Vancouver finished like 20 points away from 31st too

Both losses came at the hands of the #NHLBruins (1994, 2011).
But maybe the most impressive part is that only one of those Game 7s was at home (2008).

I honestly thought the same thing but I tracked the series at 22.4 xG for Tampa and 18.9 for Montreal. Certainly didn't feel that way from watching but I'm not gonna argue with the numbers. I'll take the analytics nerd comments but the same models that spit out this data are the ones I've used to bet hockey professionally for years. Tampa was the better team. Montreal just had the better goalie and the better bounces. Sometimes that's how hockey works and that's what makes it great! Habs/Sabres feels like a better series to me anyways.
