@CraigRaz @JaredSandler No. Check out Liam Hicks with Marlins. CY added him as a part of the Garver trade. Although a WS flag flies from that season, so no real complaint. Maybe Moore proves to be the real deal but he is 2 or 3 years out.

@BU_Rangers i absolutely believe hitting coaches have an impact but i think its tough to judge from afar....lots of guys these days use their own hitting coaches for swing. agree re: trading but you don't need to commit to that right now.

When he was the lead hitting coach the team regressed in hitting statistically. Which if we look at the Rangers are they improving or regressing under him? I know you aren’t a believer in hitting coaches having an effect in today’s game but I find it interesting. I don’t want the Rangers to tank, but I do want common sense to be applied when thinking is it really worth chasing a playoff spot. Is it worth one playoff series to trade more of your farm off?

@JaredSandler I love your work, but man it’s hard for me to be okay/agree with making NO changes when night after night this team doesn’t hit. One hit through four completed innings against the worst team in baseball is ridiculous. If you are telling me that this entire roster just isn’t good enough and that is the problem I could probably be swayed. #ALLFORTEXAS

Now we are getting somewhere in me understanding what you believe needs to change. I’m okay getting behind that. I know those changes can’t happen at this moment, but chasing a playoff spot when this team is horrible at hitting for the third season seems horrible. I want drastic changes because the changes that have been made thus far haven’t helped. I am not a Viele fan. I didn’t like his work in San Fran, but I’m not a fan of scapegoating either.

I get the guys they brought in aren’t living up to expectations and then Seager has his issues, but if you aren’t selling at the deadline and you are buying, but staying under the cap you aren’t improving this team that much. This is a worse hitting team than any time last season and it’s getting worse by the series.

@JaredSandler Well, thanks, Jared. I’m sorry that you seemed to take my call-out so hard last night. It wasn’t personal, and once you explained what you will and won’t do, I didn’t push. I actually really appreciate the hopeful, positive approach. I’m just a frustrated fan at this point.

@BU_Rangers idk what external moves they can make. their lineups are changing daily to try and make stuff happen. tough when your two (and now 3 or 3 of 4 best) aren't available. they aren't trading for yordan. idk what in-season moves they can make right now

ANYTHING than continuing doing the same thing night after night. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Again, if someone says hey this roster isn’t talented and they just can’t hit and there is no room to make any improvements then convince me of that. IF you say there is talent on the team and it isn’t being maximized then changes SHOULD be made. This is not a small market team yet we are treated like it is.

@CoachDYates hey david..did you actually watch? do you watch anything? or just remember the things that fit your narrative. no company lines. just rational responses, like identifying that this has been a trend since 2024 (but you ignored that, i'm sure)

@JaredSandler Goody…Jared with all the answers from all his many years experience in the game. LOL. We are watching insanity again, 3rd year in a row with the same approaches on offense but expecting different results. Jared will justify and give all the company lines though.
