The division of labor in a marriage is important. I know someone who is the breadwinner, who works quite hard and he splits household responsibilities like cleaning, laundry, cooking and shopping. Oftentimes he ends up with the lions share of these chores. His wife is a housewife, and I won't ever besmirch being a housewife because it is a monumentally important task. They aren't jobless, their job is to care for children and complete tasks that keep the household running smoothly. Traditionally the tasks left for men involve fixing things, taking out the garbage and lawn care. A housewife isn't just a wife that stays at home. The caveat is that the man should not be a ridiculous slob anymore than the woman should spend obscene amounts of money that the man earned. It should be a mutually beneficial partnership. I love cooking, so I choose to do all the cooking in my home. I don't do dishes, I don't do laundry and I don't clean the house or dust. Those fall under her responsibilities. I also pick up after myself and don't make messes. After I cook, I don't clean pots and pans or put the dishes in the dishwasher. I don't even know how to operate my dishwasher. Being partners requires you actively participate in that partnership. That guy I mentioned is getting screwed, and not in a good way.

@9mmsmg This is the exact same operation of my household, and it isn't by chance. I originally took on the cooking aspect out of enjoyment but it also makes it much easier to fit my macros. Also I feel that many women fail to achieve top tier cooking techniques.
