He even blatantly announced and affirmed to do this in his discord because it's a space for "those who agree with our message". Not kidding.

Some found hes the only confirmed voice that speaks for TI across discord, X, and youtube. He's running the show and is his own PR team. Acts like its multiple different people in charge but its not.

@JarenNull @Piggymaster_3 @ThreatInteract I do find it very odd that he always makes Threat Interactive sound way bigger than it actually is by referring to it in the way that he does. To me Threat Interactive's points about optimisation in current games are valid, but the surrounding attitude is becoming so off-putting

@OWAnonymous_ as the server couldn't possibly be fast enough or send enough data to show you a precise live feed of the other players movements. So players you see, all their movement is simulated and interpolated locally to make up for what the network can't give you. 3/?

@amu_mhr It shouldn't be a lot of particles if handled correctly. As for precomputation.. If it could be in Niagara during emitter creation, this would streamline any usage of it substantially. If not, this is no trouble staying in BP or cpp as long as its easy to use with skeletal mesh.

@JarenNull Hi, I don't think using mesh vertices would be feasible for the constraints used in that effect. It would add a lot of particles. Also, it requires a precomputation step to calculate constraint info, might be an overkill doing that inside Niagara.

@amu_mhr Might you be able to rewrite the pbd softbody hlsl to support inputting vertex data or mesh's instead of textures? I have been able to very easily modify most of the scratch to use a skeletal mesh, but I am not hlsl fluent.

@amu_mhr Well vertices can be filtered by groups and bones. One way being via Sampling Regions. This was not on display in my previous tweet. But if wanted to soft body silly hands exclusively, I possibly could.

@LeeDevonald @JKashaar But it's also true that the way Epic does this is also flawed. If epic cared a bit more, they would directly compensate you for each claimed copy within a certain margin.

@LeeDevonald @JKashaar You had had hundreds of thousands of downloads during a free month? I wonder why😆 I have a giant stockpile of free monthly assets I would never have otherwise purchased. Most go un-used. I think using free month downloads as a metric for lost purchases is intrinsically flawed.
