Dozens of you asked about what happened last night at the Texas Roadhouse in Avon and if arrests were made. Videos of a large fight breaking out, a table broken and what appeared to be a man punching a woman are shared over social media. We reached out to Avon Police earlier this morning and here’s the information we’ve just received. “Saturday evening at approximately 10:00 p.m. Avon Officers were dispatched to a local restaurant on a report of a large physical altercation involving multiple individuals. Avon Officers as well as Deputies with the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene and located several witnesses as well as victims who had sustained injuries as a result of the altercation. Prior to officers arrival, the primary aggressors of the incident had fled the scene. Officers spent a significant amount of time interviewing witnesses, collecting videos, and gathering statements. As our agency continues this investigation, we ask that anybody who has information on the identity of the suspects who fled the scene, to please contact CrimeStoppers at 317-262-TIPS or by calling our office at 317-272-4485. Incidents of this magnitude are certainly not a regular occurrence in our community. While we cannot release certain information at this time, we can confirm that no victims were stabbed, nor were there any firearms discharged. We are proud of the swift and effective response of officers and medical professionals who responded to the scene and we look forward to updating the public on this matter when additional information is available for release.”
