The less-than-butch image once again brought the rumors of closeted homosexuality surging to the surface, and Graham scrambled to do damage control by posting a photo of him looking “masculine” while firing a gun. Normally, a politician’s sexuality is irrelevant but when you’re a member of a party that constantly demonizes the LGBTQ community, you make yourself fair game. As for us, we can’t imagine a more horrifying sight than emerging from Space Mountain with your family only to see Lindsey Graham, lips flecked with spittle, bubble wand clutched in his white-knuckled claw, leering at your children. BREAKING: 23 Democratic states and D.C. hit Trump with a MASSIVE lawsuit over his blatantly unconstitutional order to restrict mail-in voting ahead of the midterm elections. This is EXACTLY what we've all been waiting for... “The President wants to control your vote. He wants to tell the Postal Service what ballots they can accept and when. But this is patently unconstitutional,” stated Washington Attorney General Nick Brown. “And come November, despite the president’s lawless threats, we’ll once again use that power to protect our democracy.” The suit outlines how the Constitution clearly invests the states with the primary authority when it comes to how elections are administered. It's beyond the president's powers to circumvent Congress and directly, unilaterally change federal election procedures in such a fashion. “The Court should declare the specified provisions of the EO(Executive Order) unlawful and void and order corresponding preliminary and permanent relief,” the lawsuit, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, states. It further states that Trump's order would create a new paradigm in which we allow the White House to "amend and dictate election law by fiat based on the President's whims" and argues that the order "violates bedrock principles of federalism and separation of powers." Trump's executive order, signed earlier this week, directs the U.S. Postal Service to only send ballots to eligible voters named on a list provided by Homeland Security, with assistance from the Social Security Administration. Not only that, but the order threatens to withhold federal funds from states that refuse to comply. This vaguely described and largely opaque screening process would be designed solely to make it harder for Americans to vote, thus depressing turnout and helping Republicans in elections despite their cratering popularity. The suit is led by the attorneys general of California, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Washington. They're joined by the attorneys general of Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, D.C., Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is also party to the suit. “Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy, and no president has the power to rewrite the rules on his own,” stated New York Attorney General Letitia James. “This executive order is yet another attempt to disenfranchise voters and sow distrust in our electoral system as we head into the next election cycle.” This entire voter suppression effort is rendered patently absurd by the fact that Donald Trump himself just cast a mail-in ballot last month for a Florida special election. Thanks to the tireless work of groups campaigning against the MAGA measure, over 7,000 voters were convinced to remove their signatures from the petition, plunging the Republicans below the required threshold. Utah law permits petition signers to remove their support within 45 days of the election office verifying it. Democratic groups launched an astounding signature-removal campaign that used a mixture of in-person canvassing and pre-paid mailers. It was a resounding success. “A well-informed voting population leads to better outcomes for everyone,” said Elizabeth Rasmussen, executive director of Better Boundaries, one of the organizations that opposed the Republican repeal efforts. “A majority of Utah voters approved Prop 4 in 2018, and we look forward to the day when Utah voters can finally pick their politicians, not the other way around.” This just the latest Democratic victory in a series of trends that indicate a massive blue wave is forming ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. In a new press release, the White Bear Lake Police Department announced a traffic stop on March 27th due to "observed traffic violations, including speeding, expired registration, and an inoperable headlight." "The driver, a 27-year old male identified as Minnesota State Representative Elliott Engen, was arrested for suspicion of driving while impaired," the release stated. "Engen was transported to the White Bear Lake Police Department, where a breath test indicated a blood alcohol concentration of 0.13. He was subsequently booked into the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center on a charge of fourth-degree DWI and later released from custody." "The case has been forwarded to the city’s prosecuting attorney for processing. There is no additional information to be released at this time," they added. This scandal could not come at worse time for Engen, as he's currently running for the powerful position of Minnesota state auditor. One imagines this stunningly irresponsible incident will do little to win over voters. “To my family, colleagues and constituents. I am deeply sorry. I strive to be a man of great character, and my actions fell short last night. I will learn from this. I will do better,” Engen said. One social media user posted a photograph allegedly showing Engen on the day of his arrest at "Burger Moe's" in St. Paul, drinking alcohol at 2:30 PM "while the rest of us are out trying to scratch out a living." The Facebook user, Brian Basham, also stated that Republican State Rep. Walter Hudson was there drinking with Engen. "They had both sucked down an old fashioned and were working on tall beers by the time I left with my delivery. Glad to see they take their jobs so seriously. Thanks for caring about the average citizen, GOP!" added Basham. The photo is especially damning because at the time the photo was taken, Engen was supposed to be at a meeting of the Education Finance Committee. Instead, he was getting plastered on a salary paid for by Minnesotan taxpayers. Engen's DUI is part of a broader pattern of degenerate behavior on the part of Republican politicians across the country. And is it any surprise? The US airstrike on PMF headquarters in Anbar is believed to have killed over 30 people, including one of its commanders, Saad Dawai. The US strikes violated a 24-hour ceasefire between militia groups and the US, which was agreed to enable the safe withdrawal of US forces and NATO forces from central Iraq after its bases were attacked with drones by Iranian-backed Iraqi groups – something that Team “We’re Winning And You’re A Traitor If You Say Otherwise” has failed to mention to the American people. America’s presence in Iraq is now confined to Iraqi Kurdistan, and it is clear we are only beginning to scratch the surface of what we are NOT being told by our government. The second most common was Venezuelans, with 239,000 applications at a cost of $138 million,” Cato reports.
