It will take years to wash the stain that is Manchester City from our beautiful game. @henrywinter this is what I meant in my text to TalkSPORT just now. Manchester City have stolen so much from honest clubs, they’ve stolen these experiences from other fans who would have seen their teams at Wembley had Manchester City not cheated to get there. It’s disgusting how little interest the media have in this.

For over 35 of my 62 years City fans endured something Arsenal fans couldn't survive. We went down to the third tier whilst our derby rivals dominated football for decades. At no point did our fans turn into mard arsed, entitled, whiny fucking babies like you. "Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times," You think hard times are finishing eighth or nearly winning the league for 3 years running but not being good enough. You've never known hard times and it shows, every fucking day. Oh and City haven't 'stolen' anything, they have not been found guilty of any charges.

I don’t buy the “superstar” argument with Arteta. He froze Eze out of team for months because he failed to track Matty Cash against Villa, tells you about how he actually sees the game. You can’t accommodate superstars if you don’t have the grace to tolerate a slight defensive trade-off.

Not defending it in the slightest but just caught the Eze goal last night, has anyone ever thought that the majority of the ‘marginalisation’ of Arsenal’s football ie. set pieces & routines is mostly down to a lack of attacking quality? Outside of Eze, Havertz & Saka, the majority of the rest are pretty mediocre. City have beautiful patterns between the front 4 but mostly because Cherki is a wizard, Doku is one of the best box enterers I’ve seen, Haaland’s a generational striker & Semenyo has insane talents for a wide attacking forward. Don’t get me wrong, the majority of it is an Arsenal/Arteta/Berta issue but can’t help but think they’ve needed a superstar attacker for 4 years and the rigidity & ‘boringness’ argument is largely because of the players he’s working with. Idk, just a thought I’ve had for a few weeks.

If Ødegaard were just a standard central midfielder like B. Silva, Pedri, Rodri or Gravenberch, he would be phenomenal for Arsenal. However, at Arsenal, he is being asked to play the role of a classic attacking midfielder, like Bruno, De Bruyne, Cherki or Arda Güler, players who provide creative vision, consistent chance creation, and a genuine goal threat both on and off the ball. Nobody wants to see him dropping deep to link with the defenders as the chief creator. What’s the point of an attacking midfielder completing 100 passes if he creates zero chances? First, it’s a clear case of misprofiling. Secondly, he is an AM who currently cannot create or score goals consistently. And as a result, he is not helping the team enough in the final third.

Give any other manager in the world the forwards that Arteta has and the injuries to his only good forwards that Arteta has had and they don’t finish top 10. Pep would have walked after he wasn’t allowed to spend £200m in January on 3 new ST’s.
