Holding onto an old racist post from when someone was 14 isn't the same as endorsing it forever but leaving it up for years without any disavowal, explanation, or apology does invite legitimate questions about growth and accountability. Especially when the account owner hyped holding "the epstine files" at the White House (which turned out to be bs) and then pivoted hard to other drama instead of addressing the lie. Deleting the whole account quietly without comment isn't transparency it's the opposite. Time excuses immaturity to a point, but it doesn't erase the need for owning past mistakes when you're now tied to public power.

What I actually said was Epstein's guilty plea was 18 years ago, so if we're using "it's old → it doesn't matter" as the standard, that should apply consistently. I immediately acknowledged that standard doesn't hold up (things don't just disappear over time). I haven't said a single word about how I feel toward her or Epstein.
