@CEpierso @jjhparker Maybe the revolution is a dream, but funding our schools, and teachers, like we fund our military doesn’t seem like a long shot. If the future is privatized education run by corporations, maybe we just jump ahead and fund schools?

Ill keep saying it - There needs to be an education revolution in this country. We should rebuild every school in America and flood schools with well trained and exceptionally qualified teachers. We should fund education like we fund the military, where the cost isn't an issue.

Wow. So much to unpack in this article. I heard a CPS teacher recently say that the goal has always been what we are seeing: mistrust of public ed. and the (continued) vilification of teachers. @SoRoPhD, feel like this could be the foundation of an entire graduate course!
