The severe weather threat with tomorrow's cold front has increased to a level 2 out of 5 threat for areas in yellow. A few of the t-storms coming in off the Gulf tomorrow afternoon could contain damaging winds and an isolated waterspout/tornado. We'll keep you posted!

Today's storms brought a few reports of hail across the area. The largest was nearly 1" diameter hail as the storms moved through Brooksville and Riverview!

Hello July! This was my drive into work through South Tampa around 2:30 pm today. Felt and looked a lot like summer! Sunshine, pouring rain and a jam sesh with Ocala’s A Day To Remember… doesn’t get much Florida than that!! ☀️⛈️🤘🏻

Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible today and Monday. Today's outlook shows we're at a low end level 1 out of 5. If a storm turns severe, the biggest risk will be gusty winds up to 60 mph and small hail.

TODAY | Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine with a better chance for afternoon and evening storms, especially inland. The highest coverage will be east of I-75 where rain chances are up to 60%. Closer to the coast, rain chances are around 30% as the sea breeze will move inland.

Two day rainfall totals aren't that high with most spots below 1", but a few lucky spots will get 1-2" Sunday - Monday. Scattered storms tomorrow especially inland, and a line of showers and storms area wide Monday afternoon.

MONDAY | Monday's bringing our next cold front, and this one will pack quite the punch! From highs in the low, mid and even upper 80s this weekend, to highs struggling to get to 60 Tuesday... you've been warned!

Another day tomorrow where we'll challenge record highs. Get used to hearing that... this warm pattern isn't going anywhere anytime soon!

Hot enough for ya today? Tampa International Airport topped out at 86 this afternoon, which tied today's record high last hit in 1945 and originally set in 1918!

Tomorrow begins the warm up I've been talking about this weekend on Tampa Bay 28! Highs will reach the low to mid 80s Monday, then mid to upper 80s from Tuesday on. It'll be a little breezy this week as well. A few pop up showers and isolated storms will be possible too.

Expect a beautiful night with temps falling into the 60s. Watch for patchy fog tomorrow morning for the AM commute. Afternoon highs Monday will top out in the low to mid 80s as our warm up begins. We'll see mid to upper 80s by midweek and they're sticking around for a while.

Temperatures for the next 10-15 days are looking warm. There are no signals in the extended outlook all the way through March 15th for cold air to return. Thankfully, we're not looking at record heat but expect highs to be 5-10° above average for the next two weeks!

Sunday looks great with mostly sunny skies after a few leftover morning clouds. Highs will top out near 80 with lower humidity than today!

Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with a 10-20% chance for a shower or storm north of I-4, and a 30-40% chance south. We won't see the widespread soaker we had last night. Today's rain will be much more spotty.
