I read 52 books in 2025. I ranked them here. I would recommend all of the top 10 to anyone and the top 3 are three of my favorite books of all time Big fan of 11-21. 22-30 are all very good 31-45 are all worthwhile. 46-50 meh. Hated 51 and 52

@PatsPints Beautiful pics. Just curious, do you have any sort of grasp on the language? If not, can you get by with English? Japan is in my bucket list and I’m planning on visiting in a few years. Interested in what your experience is.

Fall foliage is a big deal in Japan, and arguably no place more so than Kyoto. In many places the best is yet to come, but when I visited the Daigo-ji complex at the foot of the mountains SE of Kyoto last week the display was pretty impressive.
