Judeo Christian the correct and precise word The key point is it’s a 100% Christian phenomenon. There was never a synod of Jews + Christians to adopt a shared platform The phenomenon it describes are sects of Protestant Christianity (to which our founding fathers largely adhered) who upon reading the bible directly broke from the Catholic Church in choosing to emphasize Christianity’s continuity with Judaism rather than (as the Catholic Church did) emphasize its contrast.

With regard to "Judeo Christian": The 10 Commandments are Jewish. The great stories of the Old Testament are Jewish. The Jews developed the idea of subsidiarity as the alternative to tyranny and slavery. The Jews established the cultural preconditions for the rise of universal literacy. The fate of Israel at the hands of the Islamists is the fate of the West. This rising tide of anti-semitism sickens me. Those of you engaging in it for your oh-so-moral reasons—you're despicable. And remember, you proud "Christians" objecting in all your purity to the term: Christ Himself was a Jew.
Wes Huff@WesleyLHuff

So much noise online regarding the term "judeo-Christian." Guys -- in academia it's simply the term that describes the combined corpus of Old and New Testaments. The Jewish heritage of the Hebrew scriptures combined with the New Testament. That's it. I know you want there to be some conspiracy but there isnt, that's the way we're using it. It has nothing to do with geo-politics or a one world order.

Today in Munich, a German court sentenced Kurdish Muslim ISIS member Twana to life in prison. His ex-wife Asia got 9.5 years. They bought two Yazidi girls, one only 5 years old, as slaves in Mosul. Twana repeatedly raped them while Asia helped prepare the assaults, beat the girls, scalded one with boiling water, forced them to work like slaves, and tried to erase their Yazidi faith before handing them to other ISIS fighters. Justice for the Yazidis.

Rahm Emanuel said Israel is more isolated than ever. And yet in the last few days I've seen Venezuela reverse two decades of policy and host Israel in Caracas; India and Germany move forward on major defense cooperation; and EU members block consensus on further isolating Israel.

I have family in South Carolina, and as a result I often got to visit during those primaries where usually a handful of little-known conservatives insisted that Lindsey Graham had been a squish and a sellout, and that they were the right man or woman to replace him. The challengers often argued that it was obvious and self-evident that Graham had been some terrible disappointment as senator. In 2008, Graham won 66 percent in the primary against one opponent; in 2014, 56 percent against six opponents (including Nancy Mace); in 2020, 67 percent against three opponents; this past spring, 56 percent against five opponents. Each cycle, the voters of South Carolina, in both the primary and general election, said, “Nope, we’re quite happy with him right where he is.”

The IDF is lying about the detention of Rep. Khanna. I was on the ground with him that day, and my body camera captured us being detained by both settlers and Israeli soldiers. The IDF did not disperse the violent settlers, as they claim. They explicitly sided with them.

Ro just inadvertently shredded the "violent settler" narrative. By invoking the "violent settlers" trope - now just a shorthand for nasty Jews in their homeland - when it has been well-documented, including by him, that there was no violence at all, he shows what the typical "settler violence" accusation looks like.
Ro Khanna@RoKhanna

Instead of calling for the arrest of violent settlers & IDF soldier who detained Americans, former Congresswoman Manning criticizes me for taking a Palestinian led trip to the West Bank. I want to respectfully address this criticism head on because we desperately need more American politicians to take trips like the ones I did. I had been to Israel three times before my trip to Palestine. I had met with PM Bennett and PM Netanyahu. I have met with the families of Oct 7 terrorist attacks, including Jon and Rachel Polin who lost their beloved son Hersh. Can an American politician not take one Palestinian led trip to the occupied territories to learn the facts on the ground? Must every trip be curated through the Israel government or pro Israel advocacy groups? Will any trip that is through the lens of Palestinian eyes be dismissed as a stunt? What is most surprising to me is Congresswoman Manning dismisses my experience of being seen first as Brown and second as an American in the West Bank. I have never felt personally such an acute sting of race in America. When traveling in Palestine with a small group of others who were White, I was singled out and asked my faith. I was subject to longer interrogations at checkpoints. I was laughed at and mocked by violent settlers. And I saw firsthand the IDF taking the side of violent settlers much like the police forces sided with segregationists in the Jim Crow South. I am not nearly as eloquent as Ta-Nehisi Coates. But any person of color will feel how he or I did if they visit the occupied territories for even 24 hours. What is happening in Palestine is a betrayal of Judaism or the ideals of Israel. I wish Congresswoman Manning and others who love Israel would open their eyes and help work to redeem the soul of the nation they love by ending the oppression.
