This was a homestand where the Mets really had to make some hay. Nine games against three teams who shouldn’t be in the playoff picture…and they go 3-6. They’ve now lost 17 of 20 and continue to spiral downward fast.

I think one thing we don’t take into account as fans with the whole OBJ thing….. OBJ isn’t going to come in with a guaranteed spot. If he comes in and loses out then how does that look for OBJ and what does the fanbase do or how does it react to OBJ being cut? Thats the reality of where the NYG and OBJ stand. Time will tell if the Giants want to put that “fiasco” out or if they just tell him “stay ready” for camp injuries and so on.
