.@JasonGuarente and I will have a season-wrap Full Court Press podcast coming early in the week. And that will do it for basketball. What a looooong season. But a fruitful one for the local squads. Stay tuned for that.

@coach_fletcher @rockyparise @EarlyRetirePod The calculation is based on who plays instead of the player in foul trouble. It's a little different at a Class 1A school with 65 boys that's being told it has to play in 3A.
English

@rockyparise @JasonGuarente @EarlyRetirePod Good one! I was never comfortable with most guys playing when they were in foul trouble ever, but eventually had to learn to trust certain guys…until they proved to be untrustworthy.
English

@LAPCSboysbb If it happens all the time, that’s bad. It’s not a badge of honor to overcome great players being removed from games. It’s a problem that should be avoided at all costs.
English

@JasonGuarente Happens to us all the time with 7 players and we don’t make excuses for it .
English

@rockyparise My suggestion would be to look at the first offensive foul call and tell me how a player is supposed to adjust to that.
English

@JasonGuarente The player deserves scrutiny if he/she doesn't adjust to the way the game is being officiated. This is all part of the game. I didn't watch the game though, so maybe I'm off. Just giving my opinion based on 35 years of experience as a player and coach in these situations.
English

@rockyparise I don't dispute any of this. My point is if you're fouling out an all-state player with a high basketball IQ in 22 minutes of a PIAA game, the referee performance deserves some scrutiny.
English

That’s a good observation. The answer is that different leagues ref differently. For example, in my experience, Mid Penn Officials call fouls when it’s a foul. L-L Officials seem to let players get away with more contact. In districts and states you get officials from different areas and the games are reffed differently than they have been used to all year.
