Final Devon Prep beats Obama Academy, 58-41. The PCL is bringing back another one. Tide dynasty only continues onward . Might be awhile before we see another state champ finish at 10-18 on the year.

.@JasonGuarente and I will have a season-wrap Full Court Press podcast coming early in the week. And that will do it for basketball. What a looooong season. But a fruitful one for the local squads. Stay tuned for that. #PaGirlsHoops #LLsports

There are math formulas that tell us a team that was 31-0 when the day started doesn’t belong in the NCAA tournament.

Have often wondered why players are in foul trouble for districts and states when they haven't been in foul trouble all season. The best explanation I can come up with is the referees don't know the players well enough.

@LAPCSboysbb If it happens all the time, that’s bad. It’s not a badge of honor to overcome great players being removed from games. It’s a problem that should be avoided at all costs.

@rockyparise My suggestion would be to look at the first offensive foul call and tell me how a player is supposed to adjust to that.

@JasonGuarente The player deserves scrutiny if he/she doesn't adjust to the way the game is being officiated. This is all part of the game. I didn't watch the game though, so maybe I'm off. Just giving my opinion based on 35 years of experience as a player and coach in these situations.

@rockyparise I don't dispute any of this. My point is if you're fouling out an all-state player with a high basketball IQ in 22 minutes of a PIAA game, the referee performance deserves some scrutiny.

That’s a good observation. The answer is that different leagues ref differently. For example, in my experience, Mid Penn Officials call fouls when it’s a foul. L-L Officials seem to let players get away with more contact. In districts and states you get officials from different areas and the games are reffed differently than they have been used to all year.
