You're wealthier if you have $1 million and spend $25,000/year than if you have $1 million and spend $100,000. It's also easier to save $1 million if you spend $25,000/year than if you spend $100,000. #Wealth is less about how much you have and more about how much you need.

@aron_lee_1980 Make saving an expense. Part of your budget. Invest for the long run. Avoid fads or speculating on investments. Some people get rich quick but not many. Most people get rich slow.

@aron_lee_1980 Spending less than you earn is the most important thing. When you don’t earn much, that may be tough, and you may not save anything when young. But lots of people who earn a lot suffer from lifestyle creep and don’t save either. Their income is high, but they can’t get wealthy.

Made a mistake on a previous tax return? The CRA’s updated Voluntary Disclosures Program (VDP) may help you avoid penalties and interest. In my latest @MoneySense article, I explain who qualifies and what changed on Oct 1, 2025. 🔗 zurl.co/2wpA2 #CDNTax #CRA #TaxTips

🏡 In my latest for @MoneySense, I look at how parents can help their kids keep the family home after they’re gone. A trust can leave them the property and funds for upkeep, but it’s just as important to ask if they want to keep it. zurl.co/NhQFx #EstatePlanning
