As I move forward on the projects I started in the last 1/2 of 2024: Music production software Suite bought; Video editing software bought; High Fidelity cassette tapes bought for my old 4-track Tascsm studio mixer/recorder (to back up audio for podcasting & streaming)

@eric_lang Gah, bad Siri dictation. In short, the original tin box edition.

@eric_lang I do. I collected the big sets there and, but i still have my tin box. It still gets played occasionally. Even solo at times. So, while not an expansion, but that's my favorite for nostalgia a bit believe it or not.

Any of y’all still play Quarriors? If so, what was your favourite expansion? (None is also valid answer)

What makes a boardgame intuitive, in your mind? Explain it to me like I was 4 years old! Can you give examples of boardgames that you think are intuitive?

@biffybeans @playersaidblog Going to go a different way, but some games like Conflict of Heroes (Academy Games) or Lock ‘N Load Tacticle with their solo decks might work well. Not a ton of dice. Also a game like RAF (or almost any of Butterfield’s games) or the silent hunter games. For sci-fi, space empires

@playersaidblog aside from COIN, what other wargames are fun to solo multihanded? Preferably cards, no hex and counter, and the less dice the better. (I have tried RFOP) Doesn’t have to be GMT. Please don’t make it harder than COIN though. 🤣

@SenFoongLim Is it cheating to say the summer days, in the early days of computers when you were lucky to have one in the school, the days in various houses playing all day various games and RPGs. The camaraderie is what I love the most.

@OctavianX Pong. I bought 3 sets at garage sales as a kid. The first arcade game I remember was a vector line space ship battle game. I recall the thing being white plastic. Funny. I haven’t thought of either in a very long time!
