Congratulations store 4919 on club 365! HUGE thank you to InFocus Captain Chris for 18 years on the team, MASM John for running the grill, and bashful Store MGR Andy for coming in on his day off to celebrate! #SafetySelfieNP@jonbaumann304@KevinMasseyTHD
@KrisL1026@tommy9fngrs@StrongTrumpUSA@Manning4USCong@IlhanMN Last, the GI bill doesn’t make college free. It essentially covers tuition at a standard four year university. Books, housing, and other cost of living expenses are owned by the student. Instead of finding a reason why things don’t work folks need to step up and make it happen
“Imagine what it would do for our country and those who live here if we were to take the ethos behind the original G.I. Bill and apply it to everybody—canceling all student debt and making public colleges, universities, and vocational schools tuition-free.” 💪🏽
@KrisL1026@tommy9fngrs@StrongTrumpUSA@Manning4USCong@IlhanMN Also, those of us that received the GI bill fulfilled our enlistment commitment - not free. Someone commits part of their life to a higher purpose while other 18 year olds are living life at college and their free benefits should be extended to others who didn’t do the same?
@KrisL1026@tommy9fngrs@StrongTrumpUSA@Manning4USCong@IlhanMN Maybe it’s not quite what you meant but soldiers do not get a free education under the GI bill. Speaking from experience as it applied to me, you have to enroll in the program upon enlisting and pay into the GI bill in order to receive it.
