My theory is that there aren’t any significant changes to the X algorithm.
The posted observations about the “new algo” are mostly a placebo effect.

I miss the days when people on 𝕏 were simply themselves. It was genuinely fun to "meet" them here.
Then came the race for followers, likes, impressions, "reply guy" tactics... It all started to feel fake and, for many, less appealing.
I hope Nikita's latest announcement helps bring us back to what made this platform under Elon special in the first place: real people and real conversations.

I can see it now. People are going to complain that they can’t grow their account because only their mutuals see their posts. If there is one constant on X, it’s complaining.

We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back). We noticed this data was missing from the algo and it made your friends appear less in your replies. This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don't recognize. This should also help clusters form around interests more easily, which many people have asked for.
