Jesus directs us to seek his kingdom and righteousness and the trust God to meet our needs. This doesn’t mean we get everything we want but that we’ll have enough to be content and peaceful and to fulfill our purpose here until he calls us home

We are blessed so we can be a blessing to others, so may we be: Led so we can lead Heard so we can listen Taught so we can teach Comforted so we can comfort Encouraged so we can encourage Strengthened so we can strengthen Poured into so we can be poured out

Seeing God’s glory transforms us into his glory which climaxes when we depart to be with him: Beloved, we are God’s children, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is (1 Jn 3:2)

It’s not the church service Sunday morning that’s supposed to draw people to Jesus, but the Church’s service to people all week that’s supposed to draw people to Jesus. John 13:35, 17:21

We’re designed to replicate what we see, especially kids. So the best presentation of the gospel we can give our kids is living it out. The most potent way to teach them how to be Christ-like is to treat others as Christ would—but especially to treat them as Christ would

@Jason_D_Lowe That's very true my friend. Psalm 115:5. True worshippers worship all the time, in practical ways glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ in the home, workplace, church, anywhere, being kind, helping those in need, praying for and visiting the sick, etc. until people see Christ in us.

We transform into whatever we worship. So may we worship Jesus so the world can see the only one who can bring true life

Sometimes difficulties remain in our lives to test our allegiance to God, as the wicked nations left in the promised land “were for the testing of Israel, to know whether they would obey the commandments of the Lord” Judges 3:4

Why should we praise God? Because he is uniquely compassionate and specializes in exalting people who are down and out, as Psalm 113 reminds us

We’ve completely missed the point of prophecy: Revelation wasn’t written just so the last generation could satisfy their curiosity about chronological details, but so every generation would be inspired to live out their testimony of Jesus.

This isn’t right: half the church is focused on conforming to the culture and the other half is focused on condemning it. But Jesus said we should focus on displaying him to the culture by our love for one another (Jn 13:25)

The most powerful evangelistic techniques are not conversations about God but conduct that reflects God

Frustration in our lives often indicates the need to accept that which we cannot change by entrusting it to God

Feeling like God isn't there in our distress is a normal experience of the saints, so the Psalmist cried out "Be not silent, O God of my praise!" (Psalm 109:1).

With our needs we pray for goodness from God. With other’s needs we pay forward goodness on behalf of God

Kindness is often the surest path to happiness, so Jesus said it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Jesus is a light to the world (Jn 8:12) and the church is a light to the world (Matt 5:14). How? Jesus’s presence in us thru his Spirit empowers us to live out his presence in the world.
