I picked up the 2024 annual book this morning, and it’s come up a treat! You wouldn’t think you could write 68 pages on a year like 2024, but we are always learning in the ag industry, and a drought/Decile 0-1 year brings out the best in farm management practices.

@Jasondalling1 It has been very rewarding watching the transformation in these sheep, it’s such a shame to lose another keen sheep person from the industry, but I fully understand were you are coming from with the change. A great opportunity for someone to buy some quality classed in breeders.

@percytonfarmer @davemernowie Plan on giving the hills a cuppla years rest and maybe some other form of income towards the end of the year or next year up there. We will see what pans out.

@percytonfarmer @davemernowie Yep you are correct. Had a fair clean out after my accident last year but it’s just all getting harder mate. Have a wife and two girls that don’t find sheep work on Sunday as much fun as myself and this season has just made it even more convincing to jump off

@MartinMurray_Ag So spray to kill the cactus and what about the chemical reaching the crops? Why not use a shredder on the front of the tractor and shred it into pulp it won't grow back and let it compost. Oh wait that's to easy isn't it? Spraying also spreads in in the air as well nutter.

Well so far the 380kg of urea I used didn’t blow up the crop on a tight finish could have applied more 🤔🤣🤣. See what rest of paddock does

33 degree day incoming & lentils only just podding on NYP 🙁 Airbars appear to be the go in light lentil crops, has anyone measured loss from the cutter bar +- 2) Any thoughts on DIY bat reels or other front mods to help get them in - or just get duck feet if no airbar.
