@juiceetin The 3rd race isn't bad really, they sound surprised but they're willing to do it because they trust you and that it is the best for them (which it truly is in this case). The 4th one is definitely pushing them too much, as most of them feel either sad or angry.

She's following his steps of being a performer for the public while racing as an umamusume, hence the festival thematic.

@TodoRevolving @GifsAnime_ Because every demon is different, the same way all animals are. Aura and Sölitar (a future encounter) are other examples of cheerful demons, just in their own twisted way. Qual was also able to feel excitement when he found something he didn't know.

It's not like they don't feel joy, but they don't understand why they feel it, they just do. Same with pleasure, fear or arrogance, they only lack emotions related to guilt like remorse.
