Pokemon Pokopia is proof that these gaming companies, more often than not, shouldn’t listen to the “who even asked for this” people. Cause that was 100% the reaction towards Pokopia when it was revealed, & now we have one of the best games on Switch 2 & people are loving it 🎮 🔥

I've been watching a lot of Pokemon Pokopia previews and I'm really getting excited as it's a mix of many games I love! I'll summarize the core gameplay loop: - You play as a Ditto who has lost their human, in fact all humans seem to have disappeared and all buildings are in ruins. - You create your ditto to look human-like to represent what their trainer looks like - All the pokemon have also gone into hiding and you need to manipulate the environment to create habitats to attract different pokemon. For example, Bulbasaur wants 4 tall grass tiles. - After time passes, a pokemon will be drawn to the habitat and will often teach you a new move to interact with the environment or have an ability. Like timburr unlocks construction, Bulbasaur unlocks a move to make grass grow, etc. - Eventually you will be able to craft a town full of different pokemon that will want different things inside their habitats to keep them happy. Some of the habitats can be turned into buildings with interiors that you can decorate with furniture animal crossing style. - You can place blocks Minecraft style to construct and build the area most anyway you like, most structures will be prefabs that you place and bring materials to. - The world will be filled with collectible human records from the missing humans that will reward recipes. story bits and emotes - The game runs in real time so it encourages to log in on different days and different times to see different pokemon and events - The is a pokedex to collect information about each pokemon, inform what their habitat needs to be happy and helps with clues to attract new pokemon - The main story is about 20-40 hours with some after story gameplay as well to encourage Animal Crossing style long term gameplay of checking in and doing some tasks - There will be 4 player multiplayer that has an online cloud mode so that people can all play on the same map even if the host is offline.

Embark is reviewing and considering changes to the Locked Gate & Hidden Bunker map conditions. They originally built them for ideal player engagement, but players found a meta path instead. What do you guys think? These two are probably my least favorite conditions.

It’s implied within the context of the post. Anybody that plays knows that you buy items within the game with the in game primary currency. So, when I mention buying items from the shop and say “If I have the money to spend…”, context clues point to the in game currency, not real currency. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk. ARC Raiders developers have confirmed they’re actively reviewing how free loadouts work. The team says changes could include tighter inventory slots, adjusted item weight, or limiting what free kits come with. According to the devs, these tweaks are likely the first step toward rebalancing risk vs reward without fully removing free loadouts.

@HytaleAlerts What would be cool is if you could hire a team of Kweebec construction workers to build stuff for you from a blueprint. You'd have to provide materials, but otherwise you could just sit back and look at Kweebecs building a house or whatever for you.

The most confusing sentiment about Highguard is that gamers owe it something. Game is just not fun for a lot people and it runs like garbage. It's not that deep And no one "owes" a game or a developer anything. Games can turn it around - just look at No Man's Sky.

Hytale UPDATE 2 IS COMING!!! I'm VERY excited for this one... Here's all the things you need to know about. Cosmetics & customisation New mask face accessories are in for everyone, plus new mouth options (Vampire, Cute, Orc). Armor visibility can now be toggled (host-controlled for PvP/immersion), haircut tiling got fixed, and hair, capes, petals, and cloth animations all look better overall. Gameplay & balance Big one: Necromancy is here. New grimoire drops from Skeleton Praetorians and lets you raise up to 5 skeleton minions from bone piles (they last 5 minutes or until you die). Mining progression got reworked – Adamantite now needs a Thorium or Cobalt pickaxe, and mining speed scales properly with pickaxe quality. Rail karts are faster (still not amazing, but better), tower exploits are gone (NPCs can throw rocks now), polar bears and several skeleton types got buffed, all crops can be placed in the world, and decorative light blocks were added to the furniture bench. Hide drops were adjusted, world map teleporting now has permissions, and the Magma Rhino Toad attack was updated… possibly a buff? World generation WorldGen V2 is ready for public docs (huge for modders). New Flat and Void templates use it, the Hub Portal now spawns with V2 flat worldgen (new worlds only), and ore placement has been heavily reworked across all zones — especially underground in Devastated Lands. This does require new chunks in existing worlds. Zone 1 dungeons also got environment fixes, and you might notice some new music. Farming Eternal crops no longer break from weapon damage, tilled soil lasts longer, and soil decay under fully grown crops is fixed. UI / UX Lots of QoL here: better editor block tooltips, clothing color tooltips, clearer hotbar active slot (diamond indicator is super helpful), alphabetised memory categories, scripted brush improvements, inventory updates (including a keybind to pull everything from chests), optional FPS counter, player markers on the compass, and an ophidiophobia accessibility mode. Audio Basic Rex sounds added, plus a bunch of other audio fixes. Bug fixes & stability Server self-updater, shadow improvements, pick block working with a full hotbar, mantling fixes, keybind persistence fixes, smoother weather transitions, teleporter offsets fixed, rail karts behaving properly, bed respawns fixed in unloaded chunks, food particle tint updates, and major backend improvements to server stability, validation, ECS, localisation, and timeouts.
