Hay gente que , quizás cegados por la bandera, tiende a sobrevalorar al jugador de su país. Luego hay otros, que como respuesta a lo anterior o por miedo a sonar "rancios" infravaloran "lo suyo". Digo esto por la comparación Jokic VS Pau Gasol. En NBA y en cómputo general tal comparación no tiene mucho sentido, ya que Jokic ya está bastante por encima de Gasol, pero en FIBA si se puede seguir defendiendo que Pau está por encima. No hablo solo de palmarés, ya que Pau ha estado, generalmente, mejor rodeado que Jokic, hablo también de juego y dominio. Por ejemplo, el Eurobasket de 2015 de Gasol (sin Navarro, Ricky, Calderón y Marc Gasol) no es, ni mucho menos, peor que los JJOO que acaba de jugar Jokic. Selecciones de nivel parecido (España con Mirotic, Chacho y Rudy y Serbia con Bodganovic y Micic) lideradas por jugadores imparables en el contexto especial de un torneo corto con múltiples partidos a vida o muerte. Si me dieran a elegir con que jugador me juego la vida en NBA siempre sería Jokic, en un partido FIBA dependería del rival y el momento.
