Quality over Quantity 💪 Part 2 of my conversation with @javiervaz8 🔥 How often do you get in the cage and just swing? Every swing should have a purpose and meaning behind it! Just because you take less swings in a round, doesn’t mean the round should take less time! In between swings we should be reflecting on the swing we just took, what we felt, and what our goal is on the next swing. Deliberate & purposeful practice. When we just go in the cage and swing with no purpose our brain goes into cruise control, we are just swinging how we always swing. While there may be a time for this, it won’t work if you are trying to fix a mechanical flaw or work on something! If anything we are just reinforcing bad habits. What to see improvements at a faster pace? Practice with a purpose.

Very blessed & thankful to have these 3 special visitors at practice today. @javiervaz8 @DylanRay__ @Caden_rose7 all stopped by & shared some great insights on baseball, academics and life. Loved having them out & wishing them the best of luck as they head to spring training.

Javier Vaz raked all year for the Royals organization. He was named an MiLB.com Organization All-Star. The outfielder ended the season on a great note with a promotion to Double-A where he hit .304 with the Naturals.
