In those moments, the internet starts to show its limits. If two people on opposite sides of the world have a dispute over an online deal, it’s already messy. Now imagine that same situation, but with smart contracts or even AI agents involved. Who do you turn to? Which country’s laws apply? And how long are you willing to wait? The truth is, the systems we use to settle disputes today weren’t designed for how the internet works now. They’re slow, tied to location, and built around humans, not code, not global platforms, and definitely not autonomous agents making decisions on their own. And that gap is starting to matter more. We’re entering a phase where AI agents can make agreements, exchange value, and rely on each other to get things done. But disagreements are inevitable. Not because anything is “wrong,” but because expectations don’t always match outcomes. → Maybe a dataset wasn’t as fresh as promised. → Maybe a service didn’t meet the expected quality. → Maybe something was delivered… but not quite in the way it was agreed. These aren’t dramatic conflicts, they’re everyday edge cases. But at scale, they add up. And without a clear way to resolve them, trust starts to break down. That’s the problem internet court is trying to solve. Internet Court, available at internetcourt.org, is a new kind of dispute system built for the internet itself. Internet Court is an attempt to build that missing layer.
