If the memory didn't pop up yesterday in my feed, I wouldn't have even remembered. I don't even really think about it anymore. That's how far removed I've become from it all. But nonetheless, I'm now into 3 years of sobriety (Monday 19th September, 2022) Life and who I am have genuinely never been better in every aspect and metric there is to measure in that time. Hands down, the best thing I've ever done for not just myself but also for the people I love. Looking back at my life and who I was before that day 3 years ago is incredibly embarrassing. I wasted so much life. And I still feel so much guilt and shame. Everything from alcohol to benzodiazapines and IV heroin. Living life as nothing but a perpetual victim full of pathetic excuses and insufferable bullshit. Two completely different people. It's chalk and cheese in comparison to who I am now. And it's even crazier to know that I made it out alive after how many countless times I cheated death. Don't do drugs, kids. It's so not worth it.

A lot of people tagging me in the “Looking for a new James Bond” post so let me chime in. Let’s pretend I was an amazing actor, and was actually seriously offered such a role (I am not). I couldn’t do it. I’m too big and bulky and I’m half black. My lips are too big and my eyes are too dark. My skin is too brown. James Bond was a white man and even people who are lightly mixed race looking like me shouldn’t be playing him. If they stay true to the novels especially when it comes to character casting they might save the franchise, casting me would be a Chris Nolan Odyssey style move to pander to the woke crowd. I know it’s hypothetical and not even real, but if it was I’d politely decline. “I’ll take a purple drank. Shaken not stirred” - No thanks.

6 foot 6.5 British/Russian/Polish middle aged white guy born and bread in Australia. 3 sons (one due in less than 2 months). I love my homeland, but i am struggling majorly with housing and money in this shit house economic situation right now that this country is just forever and endlessly in thanks to the clown show in our politics. Doing the best i can for my family working day in day out in a pretty dead end physically demanding job just to keep everyone afloat. Juggling and doing everything all on my own. I have no brothers or like minded people around me in this town. I have no idea what the job entails, or if I'd be fit for it, but I'd be more than keen to hear it out.
