The son of this dad was pulled over. The dad parked on the side of the road behind the stop because the son sas his ride back after he dropped off his truck. Little did he know that he was going to suffer the rath of two unhinged deputies. ​ Kenneth Espinoza was following his son to a car appointment in Trinidad, Colorado. When his son was pulled over for a minor traffic violation, Kenneth did what any protective father would do—he pulled over nearby to watch and ensure his son was safe. As seen in the footage, Las Animas County deputies didn't want him there. Deputy Mikhail Noel and Lt. Henry Trujillo ordered Espinoza to leave the scene. ​As soon as Espinoza puts his truck in gear and begins to drive away—obeying the order to leave—the deputies instantly "flip-flop." Suddenly, he’s being screamed at to "STOP" and "STAY WHERE YOU ARE." ​Because he was already in motion to comply with the first order, the deputies interpreted his movement as "resistance." Within seconds, a routine request turned into chaos. ​The deputy drew his firearm on a Mr Espinoza who was simply trying to drive away as told. ​Espinoza was pulled from his vehicle and handcuffed. ​While he was handcuffed and vulnerable, he was t@sed including once directly in the f@ce/l!p. The "official" police reports initially claimed Espinoza was the aggressor, but the bodycam footage told a completely different story. ​Both Deputy Noel and Lt. Trujillo were fired after an independent investigation found their use of force was completely unjustified. ​ Las Animas County settled a federal lawsuit with Espinoza for $1.5 Million also all charges against Mr Espinosa were dropped. ​Both former officers pleaded guilty to criminal charges—Noel for tampering with evidence/reports and Trujillo for official misconduct. ​The county is a better place now that both of these deputies no longer on the force. The scene feels like they had an axe to grind against Mr Espinosa. The flip flop of the order to leave then stay was their excuse to in their minds to do what they did.
