Let's talk diction in epic films. It is interesting to look back on this clip from Troy (2004). Brad Pitt, while clearly still speaking "American", is moderating his accent to sound slightly English. (Listen to how he says "bothering" and the "your" in "your name".) More notable still is the boy actor. He (Jacob Smith) is actually American, but they trained him to speak flawless RP English, because the idea of an American kid in ancient Greece somehow seems even more ridiculous than the idea of a posh English kid being there. We all know this, instinctively, even if it can't be explained in a concise manner. It is the same with Pitt using a pseudo-English accent. It lends him a classical gravitas which in theory is absurd, but in practice is undeniable. This is why the dialogue in The Odyssey is grating. It sounds like an argument in Walmart.

Honestly? I'm coming around to the view that Vivek Ramasmarmy won't be that bad of a governor. The current Ohio governor is opposed to deporting Haitians. His predecessor, John Kasich, endorsed Biden and spoke at the DNC. There's really nothing Vivek can do to make this worse.
