@danbardell Denial is a weird thing. Why is he even focusing on the game solely on the cup win? The fragility, bottling momentum is the main takeaway. The doubt that will be set in them players minds will be huge. Beautiful.

I can assure you if we won the FA cup but failed to win the league we would be mocked for the entire summer Less games improves our title hopes I’ve seen more than enough FA Cup wins I do not care Players rested smartly by Mikel. Gabriel knock the only worry
English

@SouthamptonFC @EmiratesFACup You won’t make the playoffs in the championship and you’ll end up losing the semi-final at Wembley

@JUSTIN_AVFC_ Don’t let Joey Swoll see that second angle, you’d be banned from all public gyms 👀

@Real_Rob_Warner The only player I’ve seen play for us who sprinted slower than he walked.
English

@J_Tanswell @TheAthleticFC Granted could be worse like you say. But, potentially 5 missed games minimum at this stage of the season is still bad news.
English

@JayMTDee @TheAthleticFC Think it's quite good news, personally! Not as long as a dislocation...
English

Jadon Sancho expected to miss a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks with a shoulder joint injury. No precise timeframe, due to daily monitoring & only playing once no pain, but #AVFC hope 25yo will return earlier than the 6 to 8 week period speculated. @TheAthleticFC

@henrywinter Maguire’s presence in the squad must have made an impact. I refuse to believe anyone would pick Burn over Maguire. He picked him for experience, Maguire eclipses him. Also on form, ability, calmness, leadership…maybe not a funny dancer.

England do have talent. Just didn’t show it in the two friendlies. But they have good players. Tuchel will travel around, checking on players before naming his World Cup squad at the end of May. Here’s the 26 I’d take to the World Cup…
Pickford, D Henderson, Trafford; James, Alexander-Arnold, Konsa, Stones, Maguire, Guehi, Livramento, O'Reilly, Hall; Rice, Anderson, Bellingham, Rogers, Wharton; Kane, Watkins, Rashford, Gordon, Saka, Madueke, Eze, Palmer and Bowen.
Caveats: James, Stones and Watkins have to prove form/fitness. Would have had Garner in midfield but O’Reilly can cover there (and Hall a good left-back). Overloaded with attackers for impact from bench, pens after 120/players off and need to get Watkins in.
More significantly, the man whose decisions matter, Tuchel will go with Jordan Henderson, possibly Burn, definitely no Alexander-Arnold or Maguire. Watkins at risk. #ENG

@danbardell @muzzavilla He is a starter for Tuchel but I think he is swaying towards the idea of putting him on the flank. Wouldn’t be suprised with Konsa RB and Rogers on the left, Gordon top.
I’d love to make room for a Jude/Palmer for WC. Best way is with Rogers to make the left his own 🤞🏼
English

Morgan Rogers IS Tuchel’s number 10.
The evidence is there in all but shirt number.

@England_Pod Maguire looked decent. Strong & tried to push us forward with runs/passes. Willing to take chances.
Henderson too slow, anonymous & is genuinely going to steal someone else’s seat on the plane. Players will have to do twice the amount of running when he’s on the pitch.
English

Tell us one thing you were pleased with and one thing you were unhappy with. 👍👎

It ends 1-1 at @WembleyStadium in the #ThreeLions' first game of the year.
English

@henrywinter What about Jordan Henderson? It was pretty hard watching him try to get around the pitch tonight. To be blunt that was basically his only main strength in his prime.
English

@StanCollymore Maguire > Burn. The gulf in quality is staggering.
Wharton > Henderson. So ponderous & slow. It’s time to move on.
Foden/Palmer is now a debate of which one sits on the bench & which one stays at home.
Trafford looks a good bet for the future.
English

@danbardell Englands B loss was Villa’s gain. It allowed him to be fresh & have a longer career.
Only real fans remember him in his absolute prime nodding in the winner against Everton. Rising like a salmon. The good old days….

@danbardell @The1874Podcast We get UCL. We keep the same squad (Dougie & Sancho stay). We make one massive signing, Foden. With no injuries, how many points do we win the league by? …
