This is the best review of Boystown that I’ve ever read, connecting threads and making explicit meta-narrative in ways that allow me to see reflected in print that, yes, someone *got it.*

A book review I wrote a couple years ago on @JayOrne's book Boystown: Sex and Community in Chicago was finally published yesterday! Check it out below. journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.11…

I chose my PhD advisor 20 years ago. Sure, I thought the research was cool. But, there were lots of faculty with cool research. I chose based on who I wanted to have as a mentor and friend throughout my career. It’s possibly the most important career decision I’ve ever made.

Let's talk about sex (work)! Are you ready? 👀 5.31.21

Truly honored to receive the Outstanding Mentor Award from @DrexelGradColl! Thanks to the @UrbanSexLab student members for nominating me and for creating space each day where we can learn from and with each other.

My book, Agents of God: Boundaries and Authority in Muslim and Christian Schools, is available for purchase at Oxford's website and (for 25% off) as a kindle at Amazon. global.oup.com/academic/produ… If you're interested, here's the first chapter: jeffguhin.com/wp-content/upl…

I'm weird, I would not leave a date immediately over any book, I would die inside until it was time to leave and then ghost them

Submitted an LOI to @RussellSageFdn on "COVID-19's Economic Threat to Minority Cultural Enclaves: An Organizational Approach"! A huge thank you to the entire @UrbanSexLab team and powerhouse @CarolineVoyles, her 5th grant sub since hiring her last Sept😮. (more abt the grant ⬇️)
