Underway with Arizona-LIU, the first of four games at Viejas today, and it’s not looking good for anyone hoping for a repeat of Siena-Duke (which would not include most of the heavy pro-Arizona crowd). Cats playing at a different level in first few minutes, already up 10.

Pitchers: Crochet, Sale, Ragans, Hunter Brown, Logan Gilbert, Degrom, Fried, Cade Smith. It’s still not close to as good as could be.

This is baseball: Arraez walked once every 24 ABs as a Padre and sometimes swung at pitches a foot outside just to avoid a walk. So of course tonight he takes a pitch that was actually on outside corner for Ball 4 to key this potentially title-winning rally.
