If you are going to write content, you should use the 2 following prompts on ChatGPT:
Prompt 1:
I am writing a blog post on [insert topic], can you recommend relevant internal links on [insert the URL of your site]
Prompt 2:
I’m writing a blog post about [insert topic], can you recommend some popular articles I should review and consider citing?
*** End Prompts ***
The reason to use those 2 prompts...
If you include internal links to relevant articles, your rankings should increase over time.
And the second prompt will help you find helpful articles about the topic that are already popular.
This should help you come up with ideas to make your content better.
My blog generates 3 million visitors a month and over 40,000 leads. But I would do it differently if I had to do it all over again.
Why?
Short answer: it was done wrong.
Long answer:
Because I aim to target marketers, I created content based on what marketers want to read.
And I cover everything under the marketing umbrella and in 7 languages.
But helping marketers with their problems doesn't mean you will generate revenue.
You could say you are getting brand exposure, and in the long run it does help with branding.
But that doesn't always translate into revenue, even long-term revenue.
On the flip side, creating content that helps people solve problems they are willing to pay for is a great way to make money.
For example, my articles on gaining Instagram followers used to be my most popular content.
However, very few people were willing to pay for help to gain Instagram followers. And if they were willing to spend money, it isn’t much.
However, my content on how to structure a website for global SEO is something many companies hire us for. They aren't popular articles, but it is a problem that companies are willing to pay for.
Don't just create content to help people solve their problems. Focus on creating content that helps people solve problems they are willing to pay for.
The best thing I've done in my career is start my work day at 4 am.
I've been doing it so long that I don't need an alarm to wake up... I naturally wake up early.
Everyone has calls, everyone has emails and meetings... everyone has the stuff to deal with that feels unproductive.
But if you start your morning really early, you can get a lot done without distractions.
People are busy sleeping while you are getting ahead of your competition.
Give it a try, you'll get much more done. Even if you end your work day earlier... you'll have a more productive day.
A social media trick everyone should use on Instagram.
Just check out the stats on this Instagram post.
Over 4700 comments and over 100,000 views.
Best of all I just filmed it right outside of a restaurant while it was raining. No script… it only took a few minutes to record.
The key is… Instagram loves comments.
All you have to do is give away something for free, such as an ebook or a white paper… or anything you want.
And for people to get it, they have to comment a specific word that you tell them.
And using the tool ManyChat it will automatically send it to them so you don’t have to do anything.
Try it out, it will boost your Instagram view count.
An SEO trick every content marketer should know.
When we looked at 5000 websites that generate more than 100,000 visitors a month, on average, we saw that 20% of their content drove 68.12% of their SEO traffic.
So, instead of spending more time publishing new blog posts, focus on expanding your most popular blog posts.
Log into Google Search Console, see what keywords your most popular posts rank for, and make sure you cover those topics thoroughly in that blog post.
What you'll find is you'll rank for keywords at the bottom of page 1 and on page 2 that you barely cover within your blog post, and if you expand upon those keywords within that blog post, you'll start ranking higher for those terms.
The key is to make sure your content is extremely high quality, you're not just adding fluff, and you're keyword stuffing.
This only works if the content is amazing and expanding it adds more value to the visitor.
This is the difference between micro-influencers and well-known influencers with millions of followers.
We helped a company beauty company with influencer marketing. They wanted to work with prominent influencers and not micro-influencers.
We wanted to work with micro-influencers, so we settled on working with both and then comparing the data.
Here are the results from working with big influencers (the post only stayed up for a day):
Total followers: 119 million
Total cost: $11,500
Number of influencers: 32
Impressions: 10.8 million
Total likes: 114k
Total comments: 1252 comments
Total bio link clicks: 906 clicks
Total trackable conversions: 21
The campaign wasn't profitable from a direct conversion standpoint, but we noticed conversions increase during those 24 hours when all the influencers posted during the same day.
Even if you attribute double, triple, or even quadruple the amount of conversions, it still wasn't profitable.
But there were branding benefits, and the CPM wasn't too bad... $1.06
Now, let's look at the micro-influencer data.
Before I break down the micro-influencer stats, remember they are more flexible. We were able to get the majority of them to keep up the post.
All of them were required to keep the post up for at least 2 days and keep the link up in their bio for 48 hours.
Total followers: 26 million
Total cost: $1,775
Number of influencers: 137
Impressions: 3.7 million
Total likes: 34k
Total comments: 335 comments
Total bio link clicks: 278 clicks
Total trackable conversions: 9
It was substantially cheaper, but it involved way more work on our end, as we had to manage 137 influencers instead of 32.
When you look at a CPA, micro-influencers cost $130.55 versus $547.62
From a direct ROI perspective, both created a loss, but micro-influencers lost us less money per sale.
There were a few reasons why:
1. Their followers are mainly all beauty-related. When you scale up to more prominent influencers, people follow them for various reasons.
2. Micro-influencers don't get hit up to promote products and services as much, so they are more flexible.
We even had the landing pages include images of the influencer, which helped with conversions.
Plus, they kept the post up for longer.
3. They try harder to please you so they can get repeat business.
Large influencers are used to getting paid lots of money, and many of them are lazier than micro-influencers.
Moral of the story, micro-influencers typically provide a better CPA, but it requires more work to manage them as you need a lot of them to move the needle.
This is what’s happening to SEO traffic after Google rolled out AI Overviews.
We checked out search data from our SMB clients in e-commerce and local services in the US.
Here’s what we found from the AI Overview launch:
Key Metrics:
Impressions: Went down.
Clicks & CTR: Went up
Why? There’s a new AI Overview module at the top, pushing down some results.
But guess what?
Our clients are still getting clicks in new ways, balancing the drop in impressions with higher CTR.
So, they're not just ranking, they’re ranking differently!
AI Overviews might surprise you in a good way, but it can take time.
Obsess over your customers AND your competitors.
Jeff Bezos once explained how you need to obsess about your customers, not your competitors.
I agree, he is right about obsessing over your customers.
But you can lose market share if you also aren't paying attention to your competition.
Because sometimes your competition does something your customers didn't tell you or realize they want.
For example, before TikTok came out people would tell you they want to see what their friends are up to and see all the content they post instead of random popular content on the web.
However, their move clearly worked, and the competition (Meta and Google) copied it.
As Steve Jobs once said, "People don't know what they want until you show it to them."
Obsess about both.
You’ll grow faster by leveraging your strengths than by trying to fix what you are weak at.
When I was a kid, we were taught in school that you can do anything you put your mind to.
And you can be anything you want to be.
That’s not true.
You don’t see me in the NBA.
Focus on what you are great at and ignore the rest.
In the real world, people pay experts.
They want to hire and work with the best.
And you can’t be the best at everything… but you can be the best at something.
Whatever that something is, double down on it and focus on it.
That’s how you succeed… financially, at least.
3 things you need to understand about marketing.
If I knew them, I could have saved…
- A few million dollars in bad marketing spend.
- 13-plus years of doing things the hard way.
- 5 years in college
So, what are the 3 things?
1. Your brand is the only real differentiating factor—products, services… everything can be duplicated. But what separates Nike shoes from Adidas or any other shoe company is their brand.
And you won’t build your brand overnight… it takes years.
2. Marketing gets easier after year 10—over the years, your brand, traffic, and revenue will grow. But word-of-mouth marketing takes a solid 10-plus years to kick in.
Even ChatGPT… it’s not an overnight success. They started the company in 2015. It hasn’t been 10 years yet, but give it a few more years, and it will be much bigger.
3. What works for you won’t work for others – there is no right approach. I may be better at SEO than you.
You may be better at organic social media than me.
And someone may be better at paid ads than you.
You have to find what works for you and double down on it.
You’ll grow faster by leveraging your strengths than by trying to fix what you are weak at.
On average our clients save 20-30 hours per week from the automations we build for them.
So I created a guide to show you how to build these no-code automations to do the same.

Posting is not marketing.
People fall into this trap that if they post content on the social web, they are marketing.
That’s the furthest thing from the truth.
When you look at the definition of marketing… it refers to the activities a company undertakes to promote the buying or selling of its products or services.
Posting random content doesn’t help you generate more sales.
And even if your content is good and you start getting more engagement, you’ll notice that your sales don’t go up… not one bit.
Your goal should be to post content that attracts the right audience and drives them through your funnel.
Think top, middle and bottom of the funnel. Here are the types of content you can post to attract the right customers.
Top of funnel: Post short form videos educating people on industry, products and services
Middle of the funnel: Create content like you would for top of funnel, but also mention your products and services.
At the same time you can create dedicated content pieces around specific issues and promote webinars and ebooks.
For example, we sell marketing services. If I am going to host a webinar on SEO, I talk a little about the topic in a short form video and tell people I will go more in depth during a webinar which they can register for by clicking the link in my bio.
I could do the same for a fitness company. Talk about six-pack abs and have people signup for an ebook or a webinar for more information.
Bottom of funnel: Go live and pitch your product. Ideally in an educational way.
Create content that sells but in not too pushy of a way.
You can even let everyone on social media know when you have special promotions to help push people over the line.
I just made a FULL GUIDE on how you can make $5000 per day with little work each day from anywhere in the world using ChatGPT

The quickest way to get 1000 REAL followers who love to engage.
Whether it's a personal brand or a corporate brand, it’s hard to gain street cred without at least 1,000 followers.
Buying them does no good because they are junk followers who won’t engage, which will hurt your overall reach.
And you can’t just have a random 1000 people follow you because if your first 1000 followers aren’t the right type of followers, you won’t get the engagement, and it will again screw up your reach.
Here are 2 simple approaches work:
1. Go live with other people.
It’s really simple, hit up people to go live with on platforms like Instagram.
Their followers will start joining, and you will be seen as important as they associate their brand with yours.
You’ll get more followers by this.
You just have to hit up enough people.
If you DM 100 people, we see 18 responses on average.
11 will flat-out say no, and 7 want to learn more.
Out of the 7, 2 or 3 typically will go live with you.
2. Engage with other profiles and content that is about what you want to be known for.
For example, if someone posts something about marketing, I may engage in the comments and even respond to people who have questions… even if it is on someone else's post.
Just do those 2 things for a few weeks, and you should get 1000 followers.
It really isn’t that hard.
Oh, and of course, you have to post content. But posting alone won’t get you tons of followers.
But the above 2 things will help.
5 marketing trends companies are ignoring.
Trend #1: Companies look at ChatGPT as a tool to help them finish their tasks, but that’s it.
And it works for that, but there is another opportunity.
According to Similar Web ChatGPT generates 1.8 billion pageviews a month.
It’s also the 23rd most popular site in the world.
So why not ensure that your business, your products, and your services are recommended when people ask ChatGPT questions?
Here are the factors that we see causing ChatGPT to recommend companies.
Trend #2: Spend more time updating versus creating content.
Did you know that roughly 4.6 billion pieces of content are being published on the web daily?
It’s hard to stand out with all that noise.
That’s why when we analyzed 5,204,391 pieces of social content, 59.4% had no engagement.
The same goes with text-based content… people spend more time creating it than maintaining and updating it.
But when you look at the top-performing sites, the big thing they have in common is that they spend more time updating content than creating new content.
Trend #3: SEO isn’t about popular keywords, it’s about questions and new keywords.
Just look at this chart.
15% of all searches are brand new searches that have never been searched before.
And 8% are question-based searches.
You can find these keywords through tools like Answer the Public.
You may not think this is a big opportunity but think of Quora.
No one talks about them, but it is the 56th most popular site in the world and generates 852 million visitors a month according to Similar Web.
Trend #4: Lo-fi content performs better than hi-fi content.
When we looked at 3000 business profiles on TikTok and Instagram, we found that businesses tend to produce high-quality content from a production standpoint.
People, though, prefer lo-fi content made from a phone as it feels more authentic.
On average, their lo-fi content generated 34.04% more likes and 18.52% more comments.
Trend #5: People consume short-form content, but they tend not to remember what they consumed.
The results were interesting when we examined what people were able to recall a day after consuming both short-form and long-form content.
As you can see, even though people prefer consuming short-form content, you will build a much stronger brand if you focus on long-form content.
Ideally, create long-form content, chop it into short-form versions, and publish both.
My favorite marketing strategy still to this date is giving away something for free.
Not “freemium”… not a “trial”, but really, fully free.
The key to this strategy is to think about the cost of marketing.
If the cost of marketing is extremely low, you would be better off charging for your product or service.
But as you know, marketing keeps getting more expensive over time.
When you look at Google’s ad revenue over time, from 2013 to 2023, there hasn’t been one down year.
So when ad costs are expensive, and it costs so much to acquire a customer… and much more than just giving away the software or product for free… you typically are better off just giving it away for free and considering it a marketing cost.
You then monetize by selling something more expensive on the backend that is in a bigger TAM.
We’ve done this at NP Digital. We give away many different software tools for free, and it’s how we generate more than 30,000 leads every month.
When I say 30,000 plus leads, I am talking about full leads with a person's name, email, phone number, budget, revenue size, job title, and basic company information.
Try giving away something for free. Many times, it is cheaper than spending money on marketing.
I post at least 180 pieces of content on social media each month.
And just like every other marketer, sometimes I get stuck.
Usually, I just know what to post based on what I am seeing in my space… but I get stuck like every other person.
And when I do, I use 3 tools that tend to get me unstuck.
Here’s how I use them… and oh, the free version of each of the tools should be good enough.
1. TikTok Creator Search Insights – shows you what’s popular on TikTok. What works here usually works on Instagram for reels and shorts for YouTube.
For it to really help you, you have to type in keywords into Creator Search Insights, click on that keyword, scroll down to the videos under “related videos” and look for the ones with a lot of likes.
Watch them, it will give you tons of ideas.
But make sure you watch the ones with the most likes first.
2. Answer the Public – shows me trending keywords to create content around.
What most people don’t realize is on Google, 15% of the daily searches are new searches that have never been searched before… and when I say never been searched before, I mean no one has ever typed in that keyword or phrase on Google since its existence.
Answer the Public helps you uncover those keywords and phrases.
See the best-performing content tends to be new stuff that people are interested in but very few people are talking about.
Answer the Public helps you uncover those topics.
3. Tweet Hunter – shows me what is popular on X.
Most people use Tweet Hunter wrong.
They go on X, browse people’s profiles, and Tweet Hunter shows them what that person posted that generated the most likes.
The issue is, by default, Tweet Hunter shows content based on all the posts the user made… even the ones that were 3 years or 5 years old.
What worked well in the past usually won’t work well today, plus social algorithms change.
But on Tweet Hunter, you can click the “recent” tab. That’s the tab that will give you ideas on what is working today.
Don’t just browse profiles from your industry, browse profiles from all industries as it will give you ideas for hooks to use within your social copy.
Try the 3 tools out. Hopefully they get you unstuck.
