@Ruel1991 @FiddlingFox77 @sandybeachstt He can't keep Koh there against his will, he hunted Koh for the rest of his life but couldn't destroy or imprison him. Koh could slip out any time, especially so after Avatar Kuruk dies. Is that somehow Korra's fault too?

And Koh didn't trick Aang into anything, Aang sought him out because only Koh knew the identity of the moon and ocean spirits in the material world.

@Iegendofkorra Plus from a purely logistical standpoint, how much storage space does Raava possess? Because 10,000 years worth of intact memories, and personalities (AKA the literal living spirits of past avatars) can NOT have a small file size.

Personally I like the idea it was meant to happen. Not in any specific way, but meant to happen in general. It was exactly 10,000 years from the first avatar, and only room for one more statue. She was meant to start the cycle fresh, she will be the next avatar’s Wan.

She did sacrifice herself for them but I just believe that she isn't directly responsible for the return in general.

@FiddlingFox77 @sandybeachstt Uhh, the spirits didn't need the portals to cross over to the material world, they never did. They regularly did it even in ATLA. Korra didn't sacrifice shit. And since harmonic convergence happens independently of the Avatar the Airbenders would have been back regardless.
