Deadlock has been in private beta for about 2 years now. In that span of time, we have seen 3+ different major tournaments by different Groups all willing to put money upfront for people to learn multiple different skills to win it all.
By your OWN WORDS, the careers and creators channels that have been built up over these two years specifically based on learning movement tech, specific characters mechanics and overall knowledge, is "a waste of time".
Just because the game is in private beta, and has been constantly evolving for two years, with multiple meta shakeups and constant new and changing gameplay features, doesn't mean the professional players that spent multiple hours to get to where they are, wasted their time.
Just admit your fault and move on, this is embarassing man.. 🤦♂️

hard honing muscle and mental memory in a constantly changing experimental game such as deadlock is, by definition, a waste of time (a fun waste of time). if you enjoy doing that, that's completely fine, but you have to understand what you signed up for. if you want to participate in tournaments under these conditions, be prepared to lose because of a random test that the developers decided to run on a large group of players. cry on twitter is free, but it's not the most productive way to get things to improve and i'll keep doubling down on this and ragebaiting cause i got tired of seeing the same opinions that obviously doesn't represent (neither do i) the majority by being the loudest.

based on the comments, apparently crying "pros" on twitter because of a "sudden" change in a closed test that is supposed to be iterated all the time is equivalent to posting proper feedback on a forum that was specifically created for that purpose. deadlock's twitter crybabies keep suprising me with the worst takes possible.

What a braindead take.
You don’t build a healthy competitive ecosystem after launch you nurture it during development. Scrims, tournaments, high level play… that feedback helps shape the game early. I’ve been watching this scene for 2 years. ITS ALLOWED creators and players to flourish. Deadlock would not be where it’s at if it weren’t for TOs like @DeathyDL and @DLNightShift.

The issue is, the urn in its current state only greatly exaggerates that problem, and now even when played *incompetently* it still snowballs because macro mistakes like deathballing aren't mistakes
